It is larger than it looks, and can easily fit an entire wetsuit in it, as well as your towel, goggles, cap, and any other small items you may have with you at the pool. If you train in the pool with fins, a snorkel, a board, or any other equipment, this bag will hold all your items well. The material is thick and fairly robust quality nylon, with the straps and seams being sown well. The product has been made simply but well, and looks like it is going to last. That being said, I haven't had any majorly heavy load carried in it, but the bag is also not designed for that either, it really is a swimming equipment bag only.
I am concerned that the small metal ring at the top of the bag - the "eye" that drawstring pulls through - may break or rust. It's done a good job so far, but I am being fairly gentle with it in order to prevent any breakages.
One criticism is that it does not have a smaller pocket or inside divider for a set of keys or a wallet or something. This is not a deal breaker but could have been constructed easily.
All in all, I feel my money has been fairly spent on a bag for my swim kit, it is exactly what I needed, and it was a bonus that it was bigger than expected. Nothing fancy, but does the job required for the price paid.
It seems to be very well made, it is a great storage bag which can be perfectly used as a sports bag for a youth player or for gym clothes.
I am very pleased with this particular model, so I hope this will last a long time.
I wouldn't go to the beach without these bags, they are that wonderful. They hold a lot, but aren't bulky - they fold up very small and flat and are very light.
Note about colors - only some of the colors have zipper pockets and it isn't clear from the pictures nor description. The RED one DOES HAVE a zipper pocket. The NAVY BLUE one does NOT have a zipper pocket.
It is lightweight and folds compactly.
The mesh makes it good for beach/wet gear, but the mesh is fine so this bag works well for day trips and carrying small items, too.
The bag has adjusttable, regular straps, not strings, so it is comfortable on the shoulders.
There is a handy zipper compartment to hold small items you want to keep handy, like car keys
The bag comes in a variety of colors, so different family members can have different colors.
Points to consider - it is a full sized bag and holds alot. It is a long bag to hold wet gear (flippers, snorkels); it is too long for children or individuals shorter than 5 ft. Also, the straps are not padded.
This bag was also great for carrying snorkels, masks, fins, etc. to and from the beach where we wanted to go snorkeling. It just barely fit two full length pairs of fins, three masks, and two snorkels.
