Top Customer Reviews

I'm slowly rewiring our house, and purchased this tester at Home Depot, because, you know, a good tester is an invaluable tool when working with electricity.

This tester isn't worth the plastic it is made of. It has an astronomically high rate of false positives. It lit up a bright red when I tested an outlet to which I had disconnected power at the panel. It took me a little while to figure out it was a bad tester and not some miracle outlet. On a whim I tried to touch it to a metal ruler, and it lit up bright red again!

Stay away! I'll have to splurge on a Fluke instead.
