But what really did happen to her? And so the story is reimagined in the creative writing of Jessica Cage.
Well written, it is an amazing, unique and interesting story that has a good plot and story line, with mystery and suspense, and well paced action which starts at the beginning and continues throughout. The reader's interest is captured and held from the start in this captivating tale.
There are unpredictable twists and surprises with some unique and interesting characteristics to the story line.
The complex characters are well developed, realistic and believable and contribute and support the tale.
The main protagonist - Asa is one feisty strong and resilient heroine with a fiery personality. Will she be able to do the impossible?
A captivating and entertaining book to read. Recommended!
Gifted with a copy for an honest review.
This is the first story from Ms. Cage that I have read, and I have to say that it engulfed me. The Sphinx has all types of supernaturals, Greek Gods, vampires, shifters, fae, and other supernaturals. The characters are well written and I was able to picture them clearly while reading the story. The plot and background was exquisitely written. As soon as I had a question, it was answered either in the next chapter or later in the story. Asa is cursed to be the Sphinx for all eternity. While fighting and killing the Greek gods upon their return to Earth, Asa meets Carter, who is hunter. Asa and Carter enjoy a tense peace and companionship until all of their cards are laid on the table. Will Asa be able to send the god who cursed her back or will the soft budding relationship between Asa and Carter be destroyed by vengeance and pettiness? I highly enjoyed The Sphinx. The story line drew me in and kept my attention. The characters were well thought out and well written. The chemistry and dialogs between everyone made sense and completed the feel of the story. I highly recommend this The Sphinx to all who enjoy the supernatural as well as Greek gods.
Thank you Ms. Cage for allowing me to read your book. I look forward to reading more of your work.
But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend
The Spinx is a fast paced, well fleshed out piece of gold. Entertaining and magical. A must read.
