Pepper Blue has an insane streak of bad luck (or a curse) with men. Or love. Or men and love. All of her 17 ex boyfriends married the girl they dated after her. SEVENTEEN 😱😱😱.
And living in Bliss (the town, clearly not the state of) and irony of all irony, co-owning and running Bliss Bridal, Pepper has given up on love.
Tony next door, her smoking hot neighbor who owns the local pizza shop, has also given up on love - his first wife was pregnant with someone else’s baby and he found out, in the delivery room - seconds after the baby was born.
So when Pepper and Tony agree to fake date and attend family weddings, there
is no other plan other than get in, get out and get on with the rest of their lives…but slowly they began falling for each other. (I swear, it wasthe crazzzzzzy family goat hexed and voodooed them and there IS one!) and they fall in love. With a lot of hilarity and family insanity to intervene too.
So so happy Pepper finally gets her own happy ever after with such a
stellar guy and the whopper of a surprise near the end is a shocker as well.
This story has it all! Powerful and universal themes of family, grief and betrayal, loss, love lost, and love found, healing, forgiveness and certainly redemption and rebirth are threaded in the background and storyline of Spiced but masterfully interwoven for a seamless story filled with lovable characters.
Wonderfully written, hilariously fun and surprisingly sweet, this is an enjoyable novel and an absolutely worthwhile read.

I bought this one for the fake date trope but it was about so much more. This is My second book by Pippa Grant, and I loved it. Her characters are complex but so well written in light pace you can relate to them and fall in love of them..Although it can be read as a stand alone, I think it is good to read the series in order to better enjoy the relationship of the Blue family and its unique characters.I really enjoyed this book and I will keep coming back to Pippa Grant books for more.
