The Best Way To Store & Use Our Pepper
Air, Heat & Light are the enemies of fresh spices
We recommend you transfer the pepper to a sealed, airtight container (preferably glass). If not available, close the bag and clip it to prevent air from getting inside.
Store in the refrigerator for extended shelf life
Storing peppercorns in the refrigerator is a great way to keep the freshness and aroma of the peppercorn, while also keeping it away from light and heat.
Freshly ground is the best!
There’s a reason why whole peppercorns are a gourmet chef’s go to spice. A quick dash of freshly ground pepper can significantly enhance the flavor compared to pre-ground pepper.

I feel I was deceived with this product and here's why. Tellicherry peppercorns and regular black pepper both come from the the same vine the species Piper Nigrum.
The fruit is picked from the vines and dried into what we know as black peppercorns then the peppercorns are taken to a grabling facilities where a machine sorts them by size. The various peppercorn sizes are called different things and sold for different prices. So a Tellicherry peppercorn determined by size. When a peppercorn is 4.5 mm or larger it is Tellicherry. Tellicherry makes up only 10% of a crop and command a higher price.
In the 16oz bag of pepper I received there may have been 1 oz that would make the grade Tellicherry.
Absolutely will not purchase anything from spice world again .
I did add some photo
Have you ever ground rocks in your pepper grinder? I have and it was even worse when I bit into them later.
With this image in mind, I want you to then imagine how frustrating it is to have to SORT through a pound of peppercorns to pick out a bunch of ROCKS, CLUMPS OF MUD and TWIGS!!! Now, imagine how thrilled I was to have to do this to all six pounds that I purchased. (Pictured is what came out of two of the six pounds).
In other words, just scrape up some dirt out of your driveway and sell it as peppercorns.
There's a ton of confusion in these comments and the internet generally on what a Tellichery peppercorn is. It is not a different variety of pepper. It's the exact same plant that makes the crap pepper you buy at the supermarket. It is not necessarily from Tellichery India. Your supplier (including this one) buys from global distributors, and probably has no freakin' idea where it's from. And it doesn't matter. Tellichery is a size grade. If the peppercorns are over 4.25mm in diameter, they're Tellichery. If they're not, they're not. It's really that simple.
Who cares about the size? The larger peppercorns have a different flavor profile. Less heat, more aroma and volatile flavors. That's why they're preferred, and why they cost more.
Don't be the knucklehead who bought these and gave a 1-star review because they're too big.
Some commenters have complained that the peppercorns were too small to be Tellichery. If you suspect this, then measure. You may be right ... send them back. The ones that I measured were closer to 5mm, which actually puts them in the next grade: "Telllicherry Special Extra Bold." Don't ask me how much this matters.
I only took off a star because the package is cheap plastic and not resealable. It would be nice if they came in a heavier, vacuum-sealed package with a zip lock. I double bag mine and store in the freezer, and strongly recommend you do the same. All spices are very perishable, in terms of flavor.
