Have to say I did not enjoy this Steven Fletcher story as much as the first. Maybe my lack of personal knowledge of the Greeks & The Turkish and each of their political aspirations prevented me from understanding the story better. Fletcher becomes embroiled in what looks like a spat between Greeks & Turks but then seems to sense a larger hand in the background driving the spat. With his and Mario’s interruption the spat becomes more serious and threatens the upcoming conference. With the assistance of British Political and in this case Naval power all is resolved to nearly everyone’s satisfaction

My reading of this book did not start well, as it was described as being "a gripping WW2 espionage thriller". In fact it had nothing to do with World War 2 at all - apart from a passing reference to one of the character's earlier involvement in WW2! The formatting of the text was awry in a number of areas, which made for a frustrating read and, so far as the story itself was concerned, if the author understood the plot he certainly failed to convey it to this reader. I see that the book is "currently unavailable" - which is probably for the best!

This is a tightly constructed book with a fairly narrow focus. It is a bit like a chess game. Easy to read if you can keep track of what's actually happening.. perhaps better suited to a male reader. Don't let.my rating put you off.
