This Spigen Tough Armor (2nd gen) is no different from my past 2 Spigen Tough Armor cases with 2 notable exceptions. The first is the kickstand, it may help when watching movies on a flight or helping stabilize the camera for timed photos; otherwise, it stays locked in place. The second (slight annoyance), the back opening for the logo is a bit too high (see image). It doesn't affect the protection or operation of the case, but makes me wonder if it was made more for the iPhone 7 or a production miscalculation. Slight annoyance, but I expected more from Spigen, considering their own website advertises it to work with the iPhone 8. I guess "work with" and "made for" are 2 different things. Overall, not a super big deal but I'm pointing this out as it may be a deal breaker for you. I also noticed on the iPhone 8 Plus with the Tough Armor case (2nd gen) as well.
The buttons are infinitely more sensitive than the hard press with my Otterbox Symmetry. BUT: I wish the case had some sort of tactile ridging or something to indicate the buttons that way I can easily hit the button without looking. I find myself struggling in the morning to find the right spot where the button is to hit snooze, etc.
Only real complaint as of now (couple weeks of use).
