Bubbles disappeared overnight

Just got them and applied them to 2 different phones with the same result, bubbles. These bubbles refuse to come out no matter what I do. Also these protectors were installed on fresh phones immediately after the shipping plastic came off. Spigen usually has great products but these are no good

Update: after sitting overnight the bubbles seem to have disappeared on their own. I have changed my review to a 5 star, looks great the next day

I have used nothing but Spigen cases/screen protectors for the last 10 years, and have never had any issues. This initial batch of xs max screen protectors are simply unacceptable though. Both of the protectors included were covered in dust after I placed them on my iPhone. I followed the instructions word for work, and again, I've used spigen for years with no issues.

I highly recommend everyone wait a couple weeks for this first batch to pass through, because the quality is terrible.

I ave always purchased products from spigen but these were terrible. Bubbles all over the place and now I’ve used both screen protectors. Not happy with the product at all. The installation was great but I had too many bubbles on both and I had to take them off. The screen was clean and my hands were washed.

Not sure why there some low ratings, I have nothing but good things to say. The alignment tray and placement went flawlessly. Absolutely no bubbles, fit edge to edge, the ear piece speaker is an exact match, no rainbowing effect and finger prints are nonexistent. I originally considered using this protector temporarily until White Stone came out with something for the XS Max but have changed my mind, this will be staying. I also got the Spigen Tough Armor case and everything fits flawlessly. Looking at my phone you would never know there’s a screen protector on it. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this to anyone, especially at the price point.

Best way to cover your screen

I used to work at a mobile phone store. I've done hundreds of screen protectors in my life. This is the easiest way to get a good result.

With *any* screen protector, clean the screen with a good moist wipe or alcohol pad, (wipes are included), then dry it with a microfiber cloth (included).

The trick is to then put packing tape (clear 3M tape) or Scotch tape on the screen, and rub it good. Once you're ready to go, remove the tape (and all the dust with it), then apply the screen protector.

This protector has a guide that puts it on dead center, and without bubbles (if you follow the directions).

If you do that, on a clean surface, you're golden.

This screen protector is a tad more reflective than I would like, but a great product overall.

Well, I have had two opposite experiences with these screen protectors. The first one I applied was awful, large bubbles and the kind that doesn’t go away over the next couple days. I tried to rub the screen with a card like a squeegee but it didn’t help the bubbles just came back. So I peeled it off and tried the 2nd one in the kit.

This one has a few mircobubbles that I’m sure will go away in a day. I must say they fit the XS max perfectly it just seems that the quality is hit or miss on the applicator tray. 2 star for buying a 2 pack and having to use both to get one good screen protector. 50/59 chance.

Solid screen protector, fits great

Spigen is the only brand of screen protectors I use, so it was an easy decision to order this. As one other reviewer stated, upon opening the box these were strangely dusty so I blew them off with some canned air. Once the protector was clean, the install tray this product comes with made this an easy application. There were a few air bubbles, it took a little time and I had to apply a good bit of pressure, but with repeated pressing and sliding of a plastic card I was able to work all of the air bubbles out. Final product looks great, the fit is perfect and I’m pretty pleased with it.

Both shields broke within nine months. I have NEVER had one break before this, so will go back to Zagg products. Zagg stands behind their products 100%. Sorry I cannot say the same about Spiegen. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! Pay a little more and get quality - not this one!!
Update: I bought Trianium brand shield (Zagg was 4x cost) and am happy with ease of installation and look so far. It came with a lifetime warranty, just like Zagg. Also got a free bonus gift for registering the warranty. We'll see how durable it is.

very picky when it comes to screen protectors, i hate the plastic ones and i hate the glass ones that leave a massive gap round the phone, i know its for cases to fit but sometimes its excessive.
ordered these and i put it on the second i took the plastic wrap off from apple so i knew screen was the cleanest its ever going to be, after install i noticed 2 small air bubbles one at the bottom and one at the side and every time i pressed them down they came back, i thought well maybe it just needs time to settle so left it 24 hours, and its perfect! not 1 bubble, not 1 mark, you honestly cannot tell the phone has a screen protector on, the fact it installs how it does with the applicator is the best part, as Spigen say perfect it really is, no more having to put a screen protector on thinking its perfect then notice its slightly off to one side taking off and trying again and end up wasting them because that one spec of dust finally gets under. paired with a Spigen case its 10/10

❌ Gefühlt wirkt es so, dass der Bildschirm um Haaresbreite minimalst durch die schwarze Umrandung der Folie überdeckt wird (ich habe dies erst spät bemerkt; mich stört das nicht, aber man sollte dies vorab wissen)

►FAZIT:
Hier gibt es fast nichts zu meckern. Wer gerne ein Panzerglas auf sein XS Max montieren möchte und dabei eine idiotensichere Montage haben möchte, der sollte genau zu diesem System greifen. Ich persönlich habe früher Displayfolien immer ohne Führungshilfe aufgebracht (ging auch), jedoch ist diese Methode schon sehr anwenderfreundlich und angenehm. Ansonsten habe ich bei diesem Pazerglas bis dato nichts auszusetzen. Ich verwende das Panzerglas in Kombination mit der markengleichem Silikonhülle, hierbei sind keine Störkonturen festzustellen. Ich werde das Panzerglas jedoch im Langzeiteinsatz weiterbeobachten und ggf. Rückmeldung geben. Ich denke an Panzerglasfolien werden allgemein zu hohe Erwartungen gesetzt. Die Folie schützt den Display im Falle eines bsp. Sturzes und ist natürlich danach gesprungen/kaputt. Smartphone i.O. Zweck somit erfüllt. Es kommt auch immer darauf an wie man mit seinen Sachen umgeht. Dass die schwarze Umrandung der Folie den Display leicht überdeckt, stört mich nicht, man sollte dies jedoch vorab bedenken. Ich persönlich bin mit diesem Produkt trotzdem sehr zufrieden.

Look I know you’ve just shelled out at lest £1099 on this phone, so by the best screen protector for it.
Gone are the days of dust, misalignment and fine hairs under your screen protector, the application system with this screen protector is that good I bet I could train my German Shepard to fit it.
The screen protector gives you 100% of your touch screens responsiveness and once applied the application system is that good you can’t even see the screen protector, it’s aligned so well you have to look extremely close to make sure you’ve actually put a screen protector on!

The best thing about this review is I have understated how good this product is! Again I will say, ‘Stop looking and buy this one!’.

Update 2020 - Purchased another 2 of these protectors and they are the best around. Full screen coverage and easy application just save time and hassle.

Buy cheap buy twice - these however will last a very long time and provide a high level of quality!

Applied straight to the phone out of the box - no issues in respect of dust or hairs ect.

My advice for anyone applying this to a phone that’s been out in the open - turn the shower on and steam up the room first! This helps any dust from settling on both screens

The applicator is a little bit fiddly but works well enough. After the installation I had a few air gaps which I carefully raised the screen and squished out.

I’ve had the protector on since day one and I can safety say it’s brilliant! The screens as vibrant as without a protector on, there’s no annoying dots or rainbow effects - it’s also covering the notch so doesn’t have an annoying gap around the screen like other well branded protectors

Normally I love Spigen products, but this one was a nightmare. The first screen protector got a bit of dust in it. The first attempt I put put down to bad luck. Not a big problem I thought. I still have another attempt. On the second the gel coating was contaminated with something (see picture). Now I have fitted lots of glass screen protectors in my time I’m far from a beginner and this product gave me the biggest problems I’ve had. It was also the most expensive screen protector I have ever bought. Overall I’m pretty disappointed with this product. It’s far from reliable in my experience (even if it is easy to use). Normally I spend £6-£8 on screen protectors and this cost me £12. I was expecting a lot better for the money. The whole point of the product is it aligns the protector and minimises dust intrusion during the fitting process, which in my experience it did not do. On the second attempt, the gel being contaminated with fluf means I can’t recomend this product.
