The idea of growing your own plants and being self-sufficient is a great idea! But unless you live outside an urban city environment, that’s probably not happening. The Spigo LED light garden is the perfect solution to satisfy your “green thumb” abilities with your eco responsibility. The Spigo LED Light garden will let you grow a few plants at a time. It’s meant to grow herbs, such as basil, lemon mint, peppermint, thyme, grass, parsley, nettle plants, and succulents, and cacti plants. If you grow herbs they can be used for cooking. The garden is great for decorating with mini plants, lovely succulents, and colorful small stones. Plants provide air filtering, plants can absorb organic pollutants such as formaldehyde and benzene, releasing oxygen and clean air. The design of the Spigo LED light garden is sleek and stylish, and small enough that you won’t have to worry about how much space it might take up. It only weighs about 3.4 pounds, measures 13.19 x 5.9 x 13.19”, great for a kitchen countertop or an office desk! The Spigo Light Garden comes with an integrated light controller, that provides 8 hours of white light, and 8 hours of grow fuchsia light, and 8 hours of off mode. The LED lights also dim to adjust how bright or dim your plants or you like it by holding down the on button. The on/off button is a touch switch for easy use. The Light garden comes complete with the light garden, soil pot, water gauge, and AC adapter. I love the pot, it is well thought out and the water indicator was a great bonus to put in there. Currently I have my Venus fly traps in there, and they are doing great. If I could change one things It would be to make the pot a bit deeper, But still I plan on buying many, many more of these for all my plants. Just love it!
Too bad the height is not adjustable like the click n grow planters.
For it's price and reliability, I'll surely recommend it to friends and relatives.
This looks good, we will see how well it works. I'm not at all sure I have it set up correctly because there really are no instructions. A little flimsy folded piece of paper with almost no words and with no info on stuff like how to use the cotton wick, how to insert the water monitor, what types of soil to use, how to get the light to come on at a cycle you want, etc. It does have nice electronic features like both an on/off switch and a dimmer/controller switch. This tells me the manufacturer is probably an electronics geek, not a garden geek. S/he needs a gardener to help write the instructions. So far, my soil looks/feels way too dry, but the water monitor says full. The key test is whether or not my basil and cilantro make it and whether or not my tarragon seeds come up. It they do, I'll revise my rating to 4. If not, then I will likely revise down to 2.
There is one downside though. The pot it comes with isn't very deep at all. I measured it and it's only about two inches deep. The water gauge works fine and I haven't had problems with anything else, but I can't use the pot because it's not big enough for my plants. So, just keep this in mind when purchasing this item. You might want to just keep your plants in the pots they came in or buy your own separately.
But overall, this is a wonderful product that I highly recommend! Also, if anyone is curious, I'm growning carnivorous plants under the light and they love it! They're doing really well with the light. It seems to be perfect for them or any other plants that require a lot of light!
Also, I think it's important that I point out that I was NOT given a discount or anything for my review. My review is 100 percent honest and unbiased.
