Spiked Lemonade gets 5 stars from me, because it is sexy and sweet but it is also suspenseful, hilarious, and emotional. Sparks fly like crazy with the two main characters and I am so glad that these two opposites attract! Many scenes made me laugh out loud, blush with embarrassment or sing along to the awesome 80's music! I loved hearing this story through both perspectives of Jags and Sasha and getting a glimpse at what both characters were feeling. There are a few climaxes - both in the plot and between the characters ;) - that make this story quite the romatic and steamy, comedy! It is a must read - both hot and hillarious!
If you've read TAG and fallen in love with Cali and Tango, like me, they're back in Spiked Lemonade - and I looooved getting to spend more time with them too!
Sasha is a young woman in need of protection from her ex boyfriend. She is rather naive and has lived a sheltered life. She ends up staying with her close friend and her husband after the husband and a friend "handle" her ex.
Jag is the friend of Sasha's girlfriend's husband. He ends up staying at the house too and that is when Sasha and Jag begin a relationship.
Jag is pretty coarse and rude. He's recently left the Navy and is dealing with PTSD. He is unlike anyone Sasha has ever been around and she isn't sure if she likes Jag's rough edges.
The story is funny, rank at times, but entertaining.
Hope you enjoy this book as much as I did!!
Jags, on the other hand, was three dimensional and I wanted more of him. He was crass, but had a really endearing sweet side and knew what to do to save the day more than once. It was hard to believe a guy like him would find it difficult to find a woman that wanted more than one night with him.
Bambi and Tyler were great supporting characters, and I would definitely read a book that has Bambi or her niece as the heroine.
A great way to end this summer: read this book.
