I wouldn't discard the idea of something similar happening. Very interesting ending
Throughout the book, I didn't know if I should be cheering for the main character, Gerrold Smith, or hoping he would get caught. This book has twists, turns and surprises. I `m looking forward to the sequel so I can read more about the escapades of Gerrold and Mel.
Gerrold strived for the truth and honesty. However, his principles got in the way with greedy corporations' plan of pushing farmers who produce raw milk out of business. The conflict almost cost his life in a deadly explosion. He had to disguise his identity and on the running constantly.
His children were in custody by government agency. They lost contact with their father. When they saw Gerrold's disfigured features, they did not even know who he was. It was the heart wrenching part in the story.
Gerrold's new partner Mel was an amazing character. She coordinated with Gerrold seamlessly on the most dangerous missions. Her gusty behavior as a young teenage girl was ultra impressive.
I read this book during the trip to west coast. With the intensive actions going on throughout the story, I just could not put the book down.
There were moments of tenderness in the book, and yet, there were cruelty, toughness and bloodiness intertwined in the story.
This book contained plenty of strategic planning, vigorous actions and strong loyalty. The unspoken words between Gerrold and Mel caught my attention.
I highly recommend this book to my friends, especially the ones who enjoy Thriller and Suspense stories. I bet, they'll love this book as much as I do.
