It would be easy to just write them off as American Indian fantasy but that would mean you miss out on some of the most meaningful lessons you will ever read. There is so much more to them than fantasy. The author must have very deep spritual ties to the Earth to write as she does. If only everone could feel as she does as she expresses her love for our Mother Earth we would not have the horrors of pollution we live with now.
I wish I and every other person could feel the love of our ancestors as she writes of it. I thought I honored my gone love ones as much as anyone could but I feel so much closer to those ones who are gone after reading and understanding that they are still there if we reach out with our hearts and dreams.
And the animals. Never forget the animals. To be Wolf and Mustang as these people are would be heaven to me. To feel thier spirits as she explains it would be the most wonderful thing in the world.
Buy and read these books for yourselves and then buy them for everyone you love. It will be the best gift you will ever give.
Falling Rainbow and Wanderer are two very unlikely people to become companions in their search for Shining Light's people, Wanderer is an elder Holy Man who Falling Rainbow is certain is crazy, but she needs him to guide her, keep her safe from a man who hunts her. He has mice as companions! What can someone learn from mice? We find out.
Shining Light thinks his life has settled down. He has a mate and a baby. Life has been good. Then the dreams start again...
So much adventure awaits him, his mate, their baby and his cousin, Gentle Wisdom along with other family members, and a hairy-face man who must prove to himself that he is worthy of being part of the People.
Both Shining Light, and his cousin Find so much more than they ever expected. They find themselves as they search for the young woman who they know needs rescued.
Many things stand in their way, some good...some things, very dangerous.
I loved this book. Ruby has a knack for keeping me thinking and I feel my life much richer for it.
The messages and lessons taught are ones we today should try to live by. We would all be much happier people if we only listened to these pearls of wisdom weaved into Spirals and made them part of our lives.
I love reading about how shining light follows the way of unconditional love even through tumultuous times. The importance of forgiveness and remembering to stay in our center so that we can listen to what our guides show us.
Thank you Ruby Standing Deer for your healing words of remembering.
As a reader, the writer drew me into a land of old where man was one with the animals. The reader follows Shinning Light as they travel to the woods and their encounter with the Hairy Face. Yes, evil does exist in this world, but goodness prevails.
May I suggest to you to open the book and begin reading the pages. Ruby, invites us readers to become an invisible member of the tribe so we can see, feel, hear and smell the land of Shinning Light and take the path as they trek to the land of the trees.
If you want to read a book where innocence and care abound pick up the book "Spirals" and delight in each page turned.
A most enjoyable read, with a lesson to learn.
