I think the spy is either a green cloak that is not part of the group or the conquerers found Gerithon talismans ,which gave them the power to sneak into peoples minds, just like Gerithon can do. That explains how Rollan's mother was possessed.
P.S. IF YOU THINK THAT I HAVE A GOOD POINT PUSH THE BUTTON THAT SAYS THAT IT WAS USEFUL. IF NOT, WRITE IN YOUR REVIEW WHO YOU THINK THE SPY IS.
My favorite part is when someone throws a knife into Abeke’s arm, and she didn't die! I like it that part because it was very exciting.
I would recommend this to people who like books with some scary parts and to people who like books with battles in them. I would also recommend this book to people who are 9 or 10 years old who have a high reading level because there are many words that are difficult to read. Let’s read the book and finish this quest together!
Probably the most intense of the books, the battle between the Greencloaks and the Devourer is beginning to wear the kids and their Spirit Animals down and the question becomes ever more forefront in their minds: can they win?
Now, I have to say, even though I really enjoy the series, I will not be continuing any further. The price of the Spirit Animals e-books has increased from $2.99 , to $6.99 and now to $9.99 for the upcoming book. I can't fault the authors in any way, but I personally feel like the time has come to take a stand against the unthrottled greed and manipulation of the publishers. These are Scolastic books- roughly 160 pages of large print. I find it reprehensible that publishers continue to raise the price on books that could encourage a child to read. So, the decision to to accept or refuse these price manipulations (translation: blackmail) lie with the parents, ultimately. I have drawn my line in the sand and I will no longer patronize publishers who feel the need to rape and pillage in an effort to punish the electronic reader.

Conner, Meilin, Abeke and Rollan, continue to travel the different lands of Erdas searching for the four talismans of the Four Fallen Beast (Briggan the Wolf, Uraza the Leopard, Jhi the Panda, and Essix the Falcon). They were the most powerful beings of their time who sacrificed everything to save Erdas from an evil King. It is believed that with the four talismans they will have the magical power to defeat the Conquerors.
In book four the Greencloaks travel to the frozen arctic lands, in search of Suka, the polar bear talisman. They travel and meet some new people, both good and bad. The problem is telling them apart. Jhi and Meilin show signs of a budding romance. Abeke does not fare well in this frozen land. Rollan makes a wondrous find only to have its loss bring him pain and uncertainty in who he can trust. There is a lot of action in this story done at a fast pace to keep readers involved. Please remember this is not a stand-alone book and should be read in order so that the reader does not become lost and confused by the events referred to in the book.
This book is another great addition to the series and I look forward to book 5, Against The Tide. My rating is 5 out of stars.
