Much of this book was not new to me, but one aspect that really caught my attention was Sproul's explanation of the word "paraclete". I was thinking more in terms of Comforter as it is so often translated, but Sproul explained that it was better translated as an Advocate, someone who stands by us. This was especially important to the Apostles has Christ departed from them and He sent this Advocate to stand by them. So too, the Holy Spirit stand by us too as we face accusations from Satan (whose name means "Accuser").
If one takes the time to read Sproul and pay attention to what he has to say concerning the Holy Spirit, they'll come way with a better understanding. Sproul has a knack for taking complex subjects and making them comprehensible to the layman.
This is a good book for people seeking basic knowledge about the Holy Spirit, who He is and how He fits into the Holy Trinity.
This needs to be given to all new believers and should be reviewed by seasoned believers as well.
This is a great read and I can't recommend it enough. 5 Stars.
