The P-SB11 is the long-awaited successor to the P-SB7, the most popular spirit box used by paranormal enthusiasts worldwide. Does it live up to expectations? The answer is "yes!", and then some.

The P-SB11 features two internal radios, labeled channel 1 and channel 2, that function independently of each other. Each radio has its own set of controls that allow the user to adjust the frequency sweep settings as they see fit. You can scan either the AM or FM frequency band, sweeping the radio stations in reverse or forward, and at sweep rates from 50ms (a speed that was unavailable on the P-SB7) to 350ms, depending on the frequency band being swept. You can also disable the antenna for AM, FM, or both frequency bands, but this setting will affect both channels and cannot be adjusted independently.

Because the two internal radios are entirely independent, you can adjust each channel as you see fit and have them sweep simultaneously. The audio for each channel is played out of two internal speakers, which are of much higher quality than the weak internal speaker that was featured in the P-SB7. However, you will more than likely want to use external speakers anyway, because the internal speakers are still inferior to some third-party options, such as the Altec Lansing Orbit. The external audio outputs are also independent, so you'll either need two speakers or a female-to-male splitter for one speaker. A mute button is also included on the side of the P-SB11, which allows you to quickly turn off the sound to ask questions during a session.

In addition to the two radios, the P-SB11 includes a high-intensity red LED flashlight at the top of the device, and a +5/-5 degrees hot and cold spot temperature deviation detection circuit on the front.Read more ›

I am having a lot of fun with this unit. But with some of the EVP responses that I am getting freaks me out. I go to a lot of old cemeteries out here in Nebraska and now I understand why Gary Galka says don't get too attached to this thing. After last nights EVP session I don't know if I want to go back to that particular cemetery the responses were very negative!

As far as the customer that says it's not made well, I would say it's made extremely well as compared to the P-Sb7 which is nothing more than a cheap hand held radio, but this is one very solid and well made with a lot of buttons for options, the white noise is not as bad as the 7 model and it's much bigger, buying one with a Rem Pod built in, is the best way to go, for only $50 more, you can't buy a rem for that price, my only real issue with it is, the 9-volt battery only lasted 15-20 minutes then it drained it completely, I returned it for another and same thing happened, they kept saying maybe it's the Ghosts draining, well no, it's not, none of my others batteries were draining and we always use several Em Pumps to help avoid battery drain and they work, so either we got a couple from a bad batch or it's a defect, i don't know, but the batteries must last longer than that, if this issue is solved, then it's an awesome Ghost Box.

The device malfunctions quite a bit...and no its not ghosts. It tends to make loud screaching noises and the temperture gauge keeps having to be reset. It does not overheat though.

As of june 28 2016, a few months after purchase, my device stopped sweeping. Im pretty sure mine was defective.

No voices from the box yet!

This is a great product. It is well made and it works great. I am someone that definitely attracts spirits, so to be able to communicate like this with them is amazing. The only problem is, (and there is probably no way around it since it uses radio waves) since it's a radio, it picks up many radio stations, so it can be hard to tell sometimes if you are getting a spirit voice or just a radio station.

But highly recommended. Great product.

This is my first ghost hunting device. I gave it 4 starts because I don't think the temperature gage works right and the stand in the back falls open when you are holding it. It is loud enough and I like the option of varying the speed and direction of the scan. Within minutes of turning it on I received a clear intelligent response to a question I was asking actually asking my husband, "Its all right". Setting: right was set on reverse, left was set on forward and was at 50 scanning speed.

Many respected and well known Paranormal Investigators agree that the P-sb11 is the worst spirit box ever made. The first P-sb7 is much better and simpler to use. The red LED flashlight and temperature fluctuation detection does nothing but drain batteries faster. This is no better than the sb7, its really no different except more akward to use. The sb11 is just 2 sb7's in one unit so how can it be better? Its bigger, you have to have two external speakers which makes it even more bulky, the fact that the flashlight and temp only work when the radios are being used make those 2 features basically useless as they drain the batteries much faster. Its hard to walk around with this unit and have a recorder or any other devices in your hands and using a spirit box without recording makes no sense, you always document your evidence unless your just a thrill seeker out entertaining friends. As a professional Paranormal Researcher looking to make discoveries and advancements in this field the P-sb11 is best suited for entertainment purposes rather than real investigations.
