the book indicates that modern day nationalism go against the natural culture and history of any nation. Author explains it with reference to Japan.

The book gives a poetic macro look towards the nationalism. It is book for the leaders who direct the destinies of the nations. For common readers we can understand but can do little.

By Rabindranath Tagore
Praise of Japan but not Tagores best work, more of a poet. Also a very specific moment of time that already seems to have passed.
