- Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2020A solid 6-to-10 hour experience, especially if you want to platinum the entire game.
A generally relaxed puzzle adventure with no set story, just a beautiful game that puts you in the role of a wolf roaming the Icelandic countryside. A PS4 release, this remaster gives the game a coat of fresh PS5-worthy gloss.
Games like these are few and far between. Not too short, not too long, not too hard and yet just challenging enough for most everyone to 100% the game and feel accomplished and satisfied. It can be quite tricky to find all the secrets in this game without a guide, but that is what YouTube is for!
If you are looking for another game for PS5 to tide you over until the console gets true PS5 games, you can't really go wrong here. This isn't a $60 AAA experience but it is well worth the buy-in price.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2023As an avid gamer and animal lover, I was intrigued by Spirit of The North and decided to give it a try on my PlayStation 5. I have to say, I was not disappointed!
The game follows the story of a red fox, guided by the spirit of a female fox, as they explore the mystical land of Iceland. The graphics are absolutely stunning, with the landscapes and wildlife beautifully rendered and animated. The ambient soundtrack perfectly captures the mood and atmosphere of the game.
What sets Spirit of The North apart from other adventure games is the emphasis on exploration and puzzle-solving. As the fox, you must navigate through the environment, using your wits to overcome obstacles and find hidden areas. The puzzles range from simple to challenging, but all are satisfying to complete.
Another aspect of the game that I really appreciated was its attention to detail in portraying the culture and mythology of Iceland. The game incorporates elements of Icelandic folklore and history, giving it a unique and authentic feel.
Overall, I highly recommend Spirit of The North to anyone who enjoys immersive, atmospheric adventure games. It's a beautiful and engaging experience that is sure to capture your heart and imagination.
So if you're ready to embark on a majestic journey through Iceland with a charming and courageous fox, then Spirit of The North on PS5 is the game for you!

- Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2021A very dull, confusing game that doesn’t have any of the polish worthy of being sold as a regular video game. Horribly glitched, no compass or in game map, nothing that checks off what you’ve already done, and no clear objective. Maps are endless, tasks are repetitive, and the play through is ridiculously drab. What’s worse is that the controls are so rudimentary, you’ll find your wrist and fingers aching in pain. What’s more, this is a $5 game at best, but they try to pass it on for $30.
