Is Tunguska Explosion a Real Life Event?
There are a number of events that have been spoken about in the book Spirit Raiders, and one of them is the Tunguska Explosion. This is a real life event and had happened in the year 1908 over the Tunguska River. That's how it got its name.
There is a lot of mystery surrounding the event since there was no indication of what had happened. A general consensus did emerge but not until the mid-nineties. It was considered to be an asteroid blowing up in the Earth's atmosphere and totally destroying about 80 million trees and even having few humans injured. Despite the general consensus the event still remains a mystery.
The book, Spirit Raiders, speaks about this event from a different perspective.
Event seen in: Spirit Raiders, a science fiction novel

About the Author
Savio is a resident of Mumbai, India, who grew up on everything sci-fi. Science Fiction has its own charm of unravelling mysteries, boldly going where no man has gone before [yeah I know it is from Star-trek :)] and to seek and find explanations for the unexplained. This is more or less what excites a true sci-fi enthusiast. Savio is one of the enthusiasts too and he is presenting his own version here. Mystery surrounds us in many ways and it is mammoth in proportion to what we know. No one knows what lies beneath the ocean; no one knows what lies beyond our solar system; no one knows how vast the universe is; no one knows if any other extra-terrestrial form exists, but still the pursuit of knowing the unknown will continue unabated and will continue to excite us. This excitement is what Savio attempts to bring out in his books. Savio is blessed with a supportive family and has a day job in India. Writing is his passion and he also writes for many blogging sites. When not writing and not working, which, of course, happens a lot of time, Savio likes to while-away and watch sci-fi movies.

Mark, from Dallas, Texas is the first person contacted by extra-terrestrials. Anita Gomez and Alain Brown are on an FBI team led by Colonel Braulio Russo, which is tasked to investigate anything relating to UFO sightings. Circumstances draw them together, and as the plot unfolds, they find themselves at the center of a maelstrom that threatens all humanity.
An interesting read, this novel integrates future science and the human soul in an exciting seat-of-the-pants adventure. It explores fundamental questions about life, the universe, and God.
The depth, precision, and skill this author possesses, is phenomenal. One of the technological terms used in this book is GAM. This is a device that detects stealth fighters. The fighters are not detectable through RADAR, something that is the current technology for discovering aircraft.
The FBI is sent to investigate any UFO sightings. Colonel Braulio is sent with his team to inspect the situation. Mark is from Texas. The aliens also contact him, and as things venture from different angles of the plot, they all end up together realizing that Earth and the human race are in trouble.
The character development in this story is well developed. The science behind the terminology and the facts interconnected with the plot was executed perfectly. I believe the only thing this book lacked was a better-executed layout for its descriptions. Sometimes I felt that the story was too detailed. However, I believe this would not effect a true science fiction fan as they strive on details like this.
I highly recommend this book to rich in detail sci-fi fans and look forward to reading more from this author.

The plot was complex, very slow moving, filled with a lot of technical things I had trouble grasping…mostly because I’m not very technical-inclined. While much of it was science fiction, the reality of some of the technological terms was very well-researched to make the fiction appear realistic. Sometimes, I had to re-read the information to grasp what it was saying…remember, I’m not much of a technical person, so at times, the information didn’t do enough explaining for me. Other times, however, I was overloaded with information and caught myself skimming a tad.
With a little bit more editing, the writing could have become tighter and stronger, earning a higher rating. I like to be shown what’s happening during the scenes, rather than being told. It helps me visualize better, even if I’m reading about things I just don’t understand.
If you’re one that loves aliens and you can understand a bunch of technical mumbo jumbo, then I recommend you taking the time to read this book. Don’t be put off by the slow-moving parts. It took me a few chapters to really get into the story. Once I did and continued reading, I was pleased to find that it ended with a well-built, action-packed climax
