From time immemorial most cultures and religions have believed in negative energies and entities that can influence and play havoc with the lives of human beings. Dr. Baldwin has obviously done a great deal of study on the subject and has also shown to have a great deal of experience in dealing with the negative energies and entities as is portrayed in the book. As he explains - one must always be strong and protected before trying any of the releasement therapies. It gets to the point that there is also much repetition when explaining the different releasement therapies used on patients. It is not a book for the faint hearted - but a very good manual for teaching and showing the practitioner this level of healing - and the different processes for clearing negative energy fields. One of the very few informative books available which deals competently with this subject.

At the time of it's publication it should have been ground breaking. The book has many pages, has a lot of information, and examples. Though I only gave it four stars for two reasons. It is written for the professional, so it is not so easy to quickly read through it and walk away with a lot. It is somewhat tedious to read. The second reason is in my opinion I think there are a few other books out there that are better and a little bit more advanced. I suggest reading Soul Centered Healing by Thomas Zinser.

Anyone that has experiences with spirits or influences from the "other side" needs to review the material in this text. HIs approach provides some good insight and practical techniques in dealing with spiritual influences or supposed emotional dysfunction and disorders.

Much of his commentary touches on things I've experience personally and dealt in prayer and meditation however seeing it documented in a manner as he has done is useful in managing people on this side as well as the other. Emotional problems or other states of mental confusion are symptomatic of things not easily seen or perceived.

I agree with most his assumptions as to the cause and nature of spiritual beings and phenomena, however his techniques are very useful in addressing many mental and emotional situations and their hidden causes.

A very nice compilation of examples, methods and testimonies for those that are interested in this type healing.

A formidable volume. A lot of information for the therapist, information that has clearly been distilled from a great deal of experience. Having delivered regression therapy to my clients for many years, I nonetheless found the section on regression therapy to be very informative, and it has given me ideas about how I might improve my delivery of this therapy. The section on spirit releasement is a real eye opener. Any therapist seeking to adopt the approach of releasing attached spirits and spirit fragments, needs to read this volume. Highly recommended.

One of the Brilliant Works on Possessions

I came to read this thick material by William Baldwin with great interests and curiosity, and I found it to be one of the brilliant works on spirit and demonic possessions and/or past-life regressions.

This "manual" provides a great deal of original techniques to be utilized in a treatment and help those who are dealing with such difficult "attachments" that were hindering their way of life. The one that interests me the most was the history and the people discussed in the beginning of this book before getting into the therapy section as they were most interesting and led me to look more into the matter.

However, I am just not sure about the terminology that Baldwin has attached to certain entities as honestly we would never be sure what these so-called "entities" really are and there were hints of his own religious bias.

Nevertheless, it's a useful work on the subject and Dr. Baldwin deserves a great deal of credit for the work that he did and for bringing some light on the subjects that were hidden in darkness for so long.

Jam packed with info on the subject matter written in an easy to read format . The book is essentially divided into four general categories - The basics explained , Regression Therapy , Recovery of Soul-Mind Fragmentation and last but not least Spirit Releasement Therapy , the latter of which forms about 50% of the book. Some great info is present in the book and the author states that at least 70% of the earth's population get at least one attachment ( but possibly a lot more , an individual can have tens or even hundreds of attachments at the same time ) during their lives . Many examples are listed on how a human can get infected with these parasites but in reality there are far to many ways to get infected its impossible to form an overall list. In some cases the attachment may depart of its own accord but the majority remain to cause spiritual , mental , emotional and physical problems to the host. The importance of '' The Light '' ( the next step in the spiritual evolution after death ) and dealing with the entity(s) in a humane manner be them Discarnate Beings , Demonic or Extraterrestrial . There is so so much more in this book that I could go on forever and I hope this little review , in conjunction with the other reviews can help you decide if this book is for you or not .
