Spiritfarer is a cozy management game about dying.
You play Stella, ferrymaster to the deceased, a Spiritfarer. Build a boat to explore the world, then befriend and care for spirits before finally releasing them into the afterlife. Farm, mine, fish, harvest, cook, and craft your way across mystical seas. Join the adventure as Daffodil the cat, in two-player cooperative play. Spend relaxing quality time with your spirit passengers, create lasting memories, and, ultimately, learn how to say goodbye to your cherished friends.

I can't say enough good things about this game. It's absolutely GORGEOUS, with some of the best art I've seen in a long time all throughout the game. And really fun, intelligent decisions with how to show things, it bends my mind a bit for how best one would show things that exist in a 3D ocean passing on a 2D plane, but they did it so well! And of course, the story is just so sweet and sad and beautiful. The spirits are amazing and lovely, the interactions are so great, and the actual 'game' part of the game is super fun and well designed. Just 10/10. It's not often you get a game with so much clear love behind and inside of it, and it really shows.
Also, the studio is really cool. Both of their other games, Jotun and Sundered, are VERY good, though very different sorts of games. Really recommend them both, just don't go into them thinking they're fun and light!
Addictive game play with constant things to do and easy, but time consuming, large task to complete, all with satisfying results. Beautiful animation with witty dialog.
The delivery of the game was immediate which I was super happy about. I was looking for some new games for my switch oled and I am soooo glad I found this one. I am obsessed with it. I can’t put it down. I was expecting a 30 hour gameplay, but I’m pretty sure I’ve been playing it for longer than that. If you’re a completionist like me, you will be occupied for a couple weeks. This game is gorgeous, has a beautiful soundtrack, and has so many things to keep you busy. All of the systems are well thought out and the characters have big personalities. I highly recommend this game if you’re a fan of cozy story games. A masterpiece!
I only bought Spiritfarer a few days ago and this game has engrossed me immensely in the short amount of time I've played it. It is heartwarming, deep, and full of emotional depth I've only begun to glimpse. I'd recommend buying this game.
I cannot rave enough about how much I love this game. Forget binge watching Netflix, I binge played this game until I literally fell asleep. This has to be one of my all time favorite Switch games. Things I enjoy about Spiritfarer:
-The game play is beautiful and calming -Task based game with no time limits -Love the animation/graphics, it has a unique style -The soundtrack is also soothing and adds to the storyline nicely -Goal is to build up your ship with buildings for the spirits and help spirits cross over as their own stories progress
This is a cute game. The cat is really cute. Just keep in mind, if you're looking to purchase this game for a kid, there is some content that might not be suitable. Smoking for instance. And some bad language. But if you can get past that, it's a good game.
You want a game that isn't too stressful and allows for a lot of exploration? This will do ya. And there's exploration of different characters as well as exploration of the environment.
