A compelling book by Rudi on his spiritual journey. He was definitely one of the "guru's" who walked his talk. I, of course, never met him, but I know of a person who did and who studied with him for over six years. Rudi was a truly amazing human being and a role model for today's "crazy" world.

I am still reading it and have seen the Rudi movie DVD. What got me interested in Rudi was something that a spiritual teacher that I had listened to back in the '80's had said. When Rudi died, he (for lack of a better explanation) exploded outward, absorbing the fates of the other three passengers. It was a horrific plane crash, yet, only Rudi died (dictating a "deeper surrender" before his physical demise). The others walked away with minor injuries. As to what the spiritual teacher said during his service: "When most people die, they suck energy out of the world, when yogis die, the send energy out into the world." Rudi's death showed to me what a great and true teacher he was and is (through this written work and the DVD).

This man was one of the most evolved and spiritual human beings of our time. This book is not for everyone, but if you are truly serious about evolving yourself and living a spiritual life, it is a must read. Wisdom flows from its pages and right into your heart. Few writers are able to translate deep Hindu religious practices into English in the language of the modern American. He provides deceptively simple exercises and guidance to help the common man reach for enlightenment in the West.

Rudi is Rudi. You either love him or not. He was very awake, however.
