But really after all this, which gives me better education on how to properly study TaNaK, to make it even better, the book is so engaging. I feel like the author is right there talking to me. So easy to understand with passages clarified and the underlying truths revealed. I love to read these parts of Talmud written so long ago, that can easily be applied to our lives here today, right now. From studying this book I learn that the fundamental spiritual questions are the same now as they were then. Hebraism became Judaism when love, compassion and ethics became first priority. These truths will never change. And I must emphasize that this book has it nailed. Wish I could give it six stars and that I'd known about it when it was published. Would have made my subsequent studies much easier. Thank you Rabbi Segal.
This book is perfect companion to the Handbook of Jewish Spiritual Renewal. They can be read in either sequence, but once studied will give excellent spiritual and religious foundation. Baruch Hashem for this author!
