A BLESSING AND A TREASURE TO OWN+
If you're a Christian, get it and read it. It's best taken just reading one entry per day...
His life and travels were much more on the pattern of a 19th Century traveling preacher, than the taciturn and solemn Orthodox priest of a large cathedral.
And yet his message was a call to return to the arms of the Orthodox Church and liturgy and cycle of services. He had strangely enough a sense of his inadequacy for his job, but pressed on out of love for the poor and needy who were often left along the side of the road.
One of my favorite Orthodox saints.

More wisdom per page than a year of modern sermons. Take your time on this book and let it soak in. There is no need for speed reading here. Read morePublished 20 months ago by davidjfoto
Long, sometimes disjointed, and quite a few translation errors. Still, an absolutely sublime work. I would recommend this book to anyone.Published 20 months ago by Fr. Chad Lynch
