Life On Your Terms: 7 Steps to a More Empowered You
He is well versed in the Bible. Rev. Faison
has a broad acquaintance with religion.
He is like a "4-star Genral" in his overall
subject "To The Spiritually Inclined".
I like his book very much. There are surely many
good sermon "starter" ideas which he
clearly sets forth to the reader which ideas
can be invaluable to a minister or to anyone
reading his book. It is a book for the times
we live in as many are searching and asking the
question of religion "Is that all there is?"
Be assured there is more! Thurman's book can
prove to be a valuable companion to you on your
spiritual quest and spiritual journey.
Rev. Aaron Moore, Tampa, FL, 2 November 2010
It's like a breath of fresh air to read Mr. Faison's call to action on our part. It's about time we breathe new meaning into old things and old thoughts. The book is easy to read and he knows the scriptures and speaks them with authority. It is a most pleasurable read. I had a hard time stopping and putting it down.
I felt re-encouraged to apply Jesus' teaching to my life. And even if you don't know all of the stories from many years of reading the Bible, attending church and Sunday school lessons as I do, I think you'll still think it sounds fresh and interesting. I was much encouraged to step out of my 'boat' or comfort zone, keep my faith and not become distracted by my natural surroundings. I learned the key is keeping my spiritual focus in the right place.
Thurman reminds us that our minds, thoughts, imaginations and expectations provide the powerful catalyst for the supernatural. We need to be involved in our own healing. It requires aspiration and/or desperation, and definitely expectation. What a wonderful description of faith and explanation of how it's brought forth.
Thank you Thurman Faison! A hard task well done.
