We love this game so much and are beyond ecstatic that we are able to purchase it since it has been discontinued by Milton Bradley. You don't realize how competitive you are until you play this game.........trust me, you will be hooked! I understand that there are some rules on the internet to play this game with a standard deck of cards...but I really LOVE the cats and the different pictures on each card. I recommend this to everyone, you will enjoy this game!

Amazing and fun game. I played when I was a teenager and wanted to find my own copy. VERY hard to find now that it's no longer in production. If you see it for a good price, don't hesitate. Loads of fun. It is sort of like Skipbo, but has a few more "Malice" options that can create enemies...

Spite and Malice is the most fun you will have playing cards. Basically you have a pile of cards, laid face-down, that you have to use to win the game (your "stack"). You do this by building on piles (which you do with your opponents) which you place in the middle of the table (the "build" piles). On your turn, you play cards onto the "build" piles by using the cards in your hand and the card in your "stack". You turn the top card in your "stack" face-up and try and use it on your turn.

There are a number of wild cards, which is where the "spite and malice" part comes in. You can either use the wild cards to substitute for a number you don't have, or you can use them to spite your opponent. My personal favorite is the "End Anyone's Turn" card, which you can play when you see your opponent is on a winning streak.

We've played this game with a number of people, and everyone loved it. It's a fun, addictive game that is better than any regular card game I've ever played. I can't recommend it enough.

Bought this as a replacement because a friend took off with our version of the game (yeah, it's that cool... ) We love this game and it's a go-to game for anytime and anywhere. Art is amusing but may be offensive (cartoon violence between the cats trying to kill each other) to some people. It is not any issue to us as we recognize it as just playful humor ala road-runner/wile cyote or tweety bird/Sylvester.

This is a great card game that we have played for years, and were very sorry to find that it is no longer being produced. Fortunately, we were able to buy a gently used game on Amazon! Very pleased!

I had never used an actual Spite and Malice Game...we always used regular cards. When I received the game, I separated them to make sure there were the same amount of every number....I found 8 of every number except 13....there were only 6...I was really upset but then found out there was suppose to be 110 cards total and that is what was in the used game I bought. Very happy with it now.

We've been playing this card game for years, starting with regular playing cards. This 110 card deck by was put out by Parker Brothers specifically for the Spite and Malice game. You can learn to play in about ten minutes, a game lasts about a half hour. Although suggested for adults, the Rules as provided can be easily simplified for children. Our preteen grandchildren love this game, having learned it at an earlier age. Number sequencing is the major part of this game - it is definitely mentally stimulating with the "spite and malice" options in play.

The card design is unique, with the cat in a separate pose for each card value. The card coating gives a good feel and reduces wear. Because the printed numbers are in a calligraphic style, there are one or two which some may find initially confusing - this is the only potential negative for this card game.

Parker Brothers needs make this card game available again!

I don't think there's a better TWO-PERSON card game, that is, a card game that is as much fun with TWO persons as it is for FOUR or more to play! Ever notice how many games almost require four
or more to play before the game really "works" well? MALICE is an old game, but Parker Brothers (now defunct) came up with a good one and sold it to Hasbro. Made in the U.S.A. by coincidence! GREAT
GAME based entirely on chance and luck. If you want a game that's a strategy game, this one isn't for you!
