I really like this product because it was actually what my six-year-old wanted for his birthday. I like using it in the car to keep him busy and focused on something specific, and in one place in social settings. Most thing I dislike about the Splatoon game itself is that certain words are already splattered on the wall. I believe these words are being used to indoctrinate young kids into lifestyles that they are not born into at a young age. He just wants to have fun. He reads all day in school. Luckily my child did not read the word, or did not care to sound it out But having GAY splattered on a wall, I just don't see the point of reasoning in a child's game. So beware and look at your children's game before you give them to play. Not sorry, if you are offended, they asked for my review and it's not normal!

I love this game, I have nothing bad to say about it but what I do want people to be aware of is that you may be getting a European cartridge. Which means if you want the octo expansion and have an American region account you will not be able to download that DLC from the e-shop and use it. They are not compatible you will end up paying for an expansion you cannot use. I wasn’t aware of this until literally today and don’t want people to deal with what I did !

Even though the description never said that this is the EU version.... It still works 100% completely fine in North America. It only affects you if you buy the NA Octo expansion DLC because it isn’t compatible with the EU. Solution: Just make a EU user profile in your switch and buy the DLC in the EU eshop.

My coworker recommended this game for my 7 year old and he LOVES it! The packaging was great, it plays well BUT you have no use of the game unless you pay 20$ a year membership fee. If you don’t pay the fee you can basically do zilch on the game. I went ahead and paid it BUT the game is already 60$ then you can’t really play anything unless you pay another 20$ or monthly fee. Fun game, just be warned of the additional cost.
