The Baldwin and McLean families are the Hatfields and McCoys of Sanctuary, Montana. Tatum has had feelings for the McLean cousins Will and Josh since they were kids in high school. Yet the long standing feud between their families and her temerity has held her back from doing anything to let them know how she has felt. Now the cousins are back in Sanctuary and she is determined not to let anyone or anything stand in her way of going after her choice of men. Josh and Will have had their eyes on the delectable Tatum since high school as well, but with their families the way they are any relationship has to be kept secret. Of course secrets cannot be hidden forever and when their secret romance comes to light. A long hidden treasure is revealed and the feud is as strong as the day it began. Will the three ever have a chance at forever together or will the families and their hidden secrets tear them apart first?
Splendor in Sanctuary is book five in a collection of books set in Sanctuary, Montana. Each book is written by different authors and built around a common theme. Splendor can be read as a standalone with very little distraction. I wish more had been explained at the beginning about how the other characters mentioned fit into the story. That needed more detail. Even with that minor hiccup the story delivered characters that are independent and strong enough to stand up to the adversity that comes at them. Even though Tatum submits, her men do not think she does not have her own strengths. She is going to need it not to break under the pressure her family places on her to give up her relationship with Will and Josh.
Once you start you will not want to put the book down until you read the words "The End". Even then you will be reluctant to leave Sanctuary, so check into the other titles in this collection and find out more about the town, its residents and the drama that goes on there. Lucky for us there are some other strong and honorable men still to be meet in Sanctuary. You better hurry before all the best ones are taken.
