Holds 3 over-sized plugs!!!!

3rd time is the charm!! I am so in love with this product!!! I needed additional plugs in the bathroom.

1. At first, I started with a surge protector. All my hair appliances have heavy/over-sized converters, and every 2 months, the whole thing would drop on the floor. Sooo annoying.
2. I got a competitor's plug augmenter. The directions said that it would NOT cover the OTHER wall plug on the socket...but it did. So there was no gain with available plugs over the surge protector solution. Sent it back.
3. I got the Trond. Oh my goodness. What a fantastic invention! The depth of this plug from wall is over-sized, so therefore, it easily can handle over-sized plugs. See my pic. All 3 plug-ins are over-sized.

The plug spacing is far away, meaning the appliance converter box isn't taking up 2 plugs. For my wall outlet, it takes up the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions.

Added bonuses that were a pleasant surprise.
-I got rid of the surge protector, which has an additional big cord AND takes up a plug. This augmenter plugs directly into the wall.
-got 2 additional USB ports to charge my phone/s.
-i got super lucky that my wall outlet config, the circular plug is in the 6 o'clock position. As a result, the top plug in the wall outlet is free to use for an additional appliance, if need be. (with my previous adapter, the adapter covered the extra plug, so i lost that one as an option).

-also, if i go on a cruise, it is cruise ready (no extension cords, no surge protection, per ship requirements).

ALL HAPPY. I'm so glad the search is over!

** I am updating my review, mainly because of their customer service. I was not going to reach out for a refund, since I was outside the window, and I understand that sometimes it happens. I had bought this particular item to take on my cruise, and when it was purchased it was several months away. This company's customer service department reached out to me, and inquired what the issues where, and wanted to know what they could do help as a company. I was not aware that this product had just been launched in May, so it makes sense that they may have some kinks to work out. The design and idea of the product is extremely beneficial. Thank you to their customer service department for reaching out to make their customers happy.

My only bathroom outlet has very little space around it so this is an excellent space saver. Charges/powers everything fine from what I've seen so far. But it constantly emits a very low beeping sound which is slowly driving me crazy. I live in the suburbs where it is very quiet so I hear it everytime I'm in my bathroom. We'll see if I eventually get used to it or if it continues to get on my nerves!

Added USB to my bathroom GFCI outlet without blocking the reset button

I've been swapping out the electric toothbrush, razor, beard trimmer, and hair trimmer in my bathroom outlet. Plus I use a small heater in my bathroom during the winter. (Yeah, they actually designed the house without an A/C vent in my bathroom. Hope that guy got fired.) I have only two outlets on my bathrooms GFCI outlet. I replaced my ancient razor with a new one that charges via USB. GFCI outlets with USB ports don't exist so this was the next best solution. (I wouldn't have needed this adapter if my bathroom weren't first on the electrical circuit requiring it to be the one with GFCI.) This adapter uses only one of my two available outlets, but provides three outlets plus the two USB charging ports. In the center of my particular GFCI outlet, the reset button is above the test button and this adapter barely covers part of the test button so, should the circuit short or overload, the adapter will not block the reset button from popping out or me pressing it back in to reset the circuit. You may not be so lucky if your reset and test buttons are side by side. Now, my toothbrush, beard trimmer and hair trimmer can all be plugged into this adapter at the same time, plus my razor can plug into a USB port. None of this stuff has much of a power draw so there is no danger of damaging the adapter or overloading the 15 amp circuit. This leaves one outlet on the GFCI available for the small heater. The heater DOES have a high power draw so I didn't want to plug it into the adapter. I suppose this adapter would be great for cruises if you can sneak it on board. (Power strips, which I'm sure would include this adapter, are not allowed to be brought onto cruise ships.) This adapter solved my power problems in my bathroom. Although I can't yet speak about durability or longevity, at this point I would have no problem buying it again.

I went on my very first cruise in May 2019 and had no idea what to expect. I was on the carnival dream which I learned through google only had one 110v outlet, and I came across this surge protector. This thing was perfect!! It had plenty of plugs for my roommate and I - we had phones, iPads and apple watches. With both plugs and USB. It took hardly any room to pack and was light. Highly recommend for travel and definitely works for cruise ships if you’re looking for that specifically.

Auto shuts off no matter connected device

I connected a basic 3 port router on this outlet to test it out and familiarize myself with it. After few seconds of plug in, it would auto shut off the router. Even though it has a rating of 16 amps and my router is consuming about 0.6A, it still tripped the chip and causing it to shut off. It was very annoying when majority of my house appliances relied on the router. I would suggest to spend a little extra and buy something else. I'm returning this defective item.
