What else can you say, it's SpongeBob, and this stuff is hilarious. Animation is super and multiple story lines are great. Reminds me of the old bugs bunny cartoons where you could have storylines with Bugs, Sylvester and Tweety, Yosemite Sam, Elmer Fudd, Speedy Gonzalez, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Foghorn Leghorn, etc. Here you have different storylines with SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabbs and Plankton, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, Sandy the Squirrel, Mrs. Puff, etc.

I love spongebob and every nickelodeon show ever aired. So I was really exited to get this dvd. I bought it a few months after it came out so it would drop in price a little bit, and it did. When I ordered it I checked my mailbox every single day for it. It eventually arived about a week after I ordered it. But as soon as I opened it up I stuck it right in the dvd player, and when it started I couldn't keep my eyes off the tv screen. It really amazes me how creative tom kinny and the whole spongebob crew are. I just wish they would make full seasons of tv shows. it seems like they stopped doing that to make more money... which stinksbecause not only is it more expensive for us, but it takes up more space if you get both volumes of eveerything. over all 5 stars!

Although his speech is limited, he makes it pretty clear what DVD he wants when it comes to occasions in which he can receive a gift. We now own EVERY season of Spongebob and he couldn't be happier. Amazon always offers great deals and I do my best to take advantage of them. The fact that I can shop at home, at my convenience is a HUGE plus for me. My boy is happy with this DVD, so that makes me happy.

(scary) several reviews from previous orders said they received the DVD jacket shrink wrapped but without any DVDs leading to disappointed kiddos and adults. I, thankfully did not have this problem. I received season 6 of SpongeBob shrink wrapped with all of the discs inside.

Newcomers to Spongebob: Please do not start at Season 6

In my opinion, proceed with caution. Buy this only at $20 or lower. As the majority of Spongebob fans like myself believe, the overall quality of humor dropped relatively significantly after the Spongebob movie, starting with Season 4. For newcomers to Spongebob, PLEASE do not start here. I highly recommend that everyone reading this consider buying the Spongebob First 100 Episodes DVD box set, as it contains everything from Seasons 1-5.

Seasons 1-3 are the best of the show. They have the best humor, best overall pacing, and have great potential for multiple viewings. Practically every popular quotation from the series comes from these 3 seasons.

Season 4 is okay, but once Hillenburg left, the show lost a little creativity and humor. But overall, most of the episodes have at least something to offer, with only 2 or 3 episodes being notably bad.

Season 5 gets more iffy. High quality episodes are few and far between, with a lot of OK episodes. However, this season has more terrible episodes than Season 4, and is overall a step in the wrong direction. This is part of the reason I recommend the First 100 Episodes box set, as it has all of Season 5, and if you don't like Season 5, there is NO WAY you will like Season 6.

As for Season 6 itself, for those of you who read this far, Season 6 has, by far, the highest number of BORING episodes: not episodes that do anything heinous, but just plain boring. This comprises about half of the season. One third of the episodes in this season are VERY BAD, as in "You will regret your life decisions" bad. The remaining sixth are the highlights, the best of the season, and they are about as good as a decent Season 4 episode. Take that for what you will.

I bought this because I want to have all the Spongebob episodes, excluding Season 9 (Amazon has Seasons 7 and 8 on Prime Instant Video). I got it mainly to compare Spongebob from earlier seasons to later seasons. I would not buy it for any other reasons, and again, not any higher than $20.

Die sechste Staffelbox enthält insgesamt 4 DVDs und hebt sich damit bereits von den übrigen Staffelboxen ab. Im Übrigen hatte Staffel 5 noch wie Staffel 2 bis 5 der Importbox eine deutsche Audioauswahl. Diese hat hier nur noch englisch und spanisch. Während die Vorstaffeln Schuber enthielten, ist dies hier eine dicke VHS-Box, deren Halterung bereits beim Versand beschädigt wurden. Allerdings war der Verkäufer über amazon zshop sehr kulant.

Anders bei den Vorstaffeln wird hier Vor- und Abspann jeder Episode abgespielt, wenn man sich entscheidet, alle Episoden abspielen zu lassen. Bei den Vorstaffeln war es immer so, dass einmal der Vorspann gezeigt wurde, dann alle Episoden und dann erst alle Abspänne. Im Gegensatz zur Vorstaffel ist das Menü nicht animiert, sondern der wohlbekannte Okulelesong klimpert in Dauerschleife vor sich her. Wie die Folgen sortiert sind wundert mich immer noch. Ich gehe nach der Produktionsreihenfolge, die in etwa so im Ablauf auch in Deutschland ausgestrahlt wurde. Die US-Erstausstrahlung weicht jedoch auch von dieser ab. So ist die erste Episode der sechsten Staffel laut deutschem Episodenführer und US-Produktionsreihenfolge 101a – Schicker wohnen. Am 30.04.08 wurde diese in Deutschland ausgestrahlt, in den USA jedoch erst am 06.06.2008! Somit erfolgte die Erstausstrahlung erstaunlicherweise zuerst in Deutschland. Die erste Folge auf der DVD ist jedoch Spongikus, damit 103a. Diese Episode wurde am 29.03.2008 in den USA ausgestrahlt, in Deutschland jedoch erst am 20.10.2008. Nur mal so am Rande: in den USA wurde Krabbenburger Blues am 03.03.2008 ausgestrahlt. Diese hätte der Logik nach also zuerst auf die Scheibe gehört. Wie gesagt, bin ich noch nicht dahinter gekommen, wieso welche Folge wo ist. Daher in Produktionsreihenfolge der Episodenführer:

103a – Spongikus (Spongicus)
Plankton reißt den Abfalleimer ab und errichtet stattdessen ein Kolusseum. Die Leute sind begeistert von der Ankündigung, dass dort Metzeleien auf Leben und Tod stattfinden sollten. Nur Thaddäus ist kulturell angewidert. Selbst SpongeBob ist angetan, welcher Trottel demnächst gegen die Bestien antreten wird. Der Spaß für ihn ist allerdings vorbei als er erfährt, dass Patrick gegen die Bestie antreten soll…
> Denkwürdige Sprüche: “Wenn er anfängt meine Kundschaft zu klauen, schlägt das Imperium zurück!”
> Denkwürdige Momente: „Du hast mir echt den Hintern gerettet!“

Einmal hat Thaddäus endlich Erfolg in dieser wunderbar witzigen Episode, in der es um die Suche nach dem Top-Komponisten für die neu errichtete Symphonie in Bikini Bottom geht.

101a – Schicker wohnen (House Fancy)
Thaddäus platzt vor Neid, als Siegbert Schnösels Haus für die Sendung Schicker wohnen vorgestellt wird. Zeit umzudekorieren und die Sendung ins Haus zu holen. Wie gut, dass SpongeBob Thaddäus Nachbar ist…

３歳の子供には刺激が強すぎます。もので顔をたたきつけたり，表現が下品だったり，
食べ物を思いっきり口につめ込んで”おえっ”としてみたり・・・・
こんなに下品なものと知らずに息子に見せてしまいました。

親としては子供にこのようなアニメは見せたくありません。

子供にはオススメ出来ないアニメです。

クレヨンしんちゃんの　アメリカ版のような感じ。
本当に子供にはよくありません。
