Spontaneous Evolution: Our Positive Future and How to Get There from Here Audio CD – CD, October 1, 2008
If looking at today’s headlines makes you wonder about the fate of our planet, here is some news that may surprise you: from an evolutionary standpoint, we are exactly where we need to be.
According to eminent biologist Bruce H. Lipton and political and cultural commentator Steve Bhaerman, we are surrounded by the proof that we are poised to take an incredible step forward in the growth of our species. On Spontaneous Evolution, you are invited to participate in an eye-opening examination of science and history―one that leads to a profound vision of the next “holistic” stage of human civilization.
Join these two pioneers as they explore:
The three perennial questions any belief system needs to address, and why the answers have changed throughout history
• The four “Myth-Perceptions of the Apocalypse”―the unexamined pillars that support modern thought, and why each one of them is ready to crumble
• Why the blueprint for a brighter future is literally inside you―encoded into each of your trillions of cells
• What you can do to help usher in the greatest cultural shift since the Copernican revolution
Many of the ideas and institutions that define our culture today are breaking down―and that’s a good thing, say Lipton and Bhaerman. This is a necessary part of the natural process of clearing out what no longer serves us, in order to make room for a new way of being that will carry us into the next age.
Spontaneous Evolution is an insightful, playful, and ultimately hopeful look at the unfolding destiny of our species―and how you can play an active role as a co-creator of the world to come.

If so, then "Spontaneous Evolution" is a book you must read. The book explores faith and science through the ages and shows the fallacies that have led us to where we are today. Rather than painting a picture of gloom, Lipton and Bhaerman point out new ways of thinking - new paradigms that give comfort and hope. These thoughts will challenge your way of thinking, and you may even find them uncomfortable, but they are important thoughts that are grounded in truth that is found at the apex of new edge science and the power and strength of human faith and destiny.
I find myself thinking about, and discussing this book constantly and have been reconnected spiritually - with context. The structure of the book is brilliant, zooming in and out of cell-biology, fractal geometry, human history, political science and more, but they are are all joined together to form a rich foundation for a positive future. I certainly got a lot out of this book and have learned much by reading it. I thank the authors for putting together such an excellent and helpful book.
Especially of interest is their recounting of the influence of Native Americans, in particular the Iroquois Confederacy, on the United States Declaration of Independence and Articles of Confederation. Our nation's founding really was revolutionary, yet we have strayed so far from these founding principles by allowing special interests to supersede our collective goals.
Not only have we been hoodwinked into becoming a nation of debtors (not the goal of our Founding Fathers, by the way), we have also been led to believe we are fragile beings at the mercy of Nature, which we must subdue and conquer in order to survive. Lipton and Bhaerman provide insights from new-edge science that reveal the opposite: we are powerful beings capable of self-healing and regeneration, and the sooner we stop ingesting harmful pharmaceuticals and instead embrace a healthy mind and diet, the healthier we will be as individuals and a collective.
Fixing our personal and national health, both financially and physically, requires releasing outdated beliefs based on old paradigmatic thinking that arose from limited human knowledge and experience. We know better now, and we have a road map to a brighter future, thanks to Spontaneous Evolution!
Therefore, I say this is NOT a book; rather it is a psychiatric prescription formulated upon the principles outlined in The Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter, & Miracles ; and comprehensive treatment plan that we must follow if we are to achieve planetary sanity within era-2012.
Specifically, we learn that we are living cells, not only in the emerging global brain, [Peter Russell, et al.], but also the global body, the unified superorganism, that is forming out of the "in-form-ation" we are collecting like bees in a hive from the environment, as well as each other in social engineering networks; for example, Facebook and Google.
In other words, we are coming face-to-face with the truth: we are co-creators of consciousness here and now. Indeed, the mythological images, our heavens and hells, that we have created, weaved from the threads of history, institutionally reinforced, and come to believe as gospel through time are converging into a cul de sac, or worst, a "dead-end." As mythologist Joseph Campbell mused, "No one believes the old stories of creation anymore!"
Thus, overall, it is these "unexamined pillars, the Myth-Perceptions of the Apocalypse," that seek manifestation today and that may become our undoing.
Accordingly, it is up to us to decide "consciously" what it is that we want to see as our future world order. That is, do we want "doom and gloom" to be our daily dose of reality or are we willing to, pardon my oxymoron, "fight for peace?" That is the message: We select the images of reality we keep both here and hereafter. The problem is we initially do so unconsciously, usually before age 5, but seemingly, even within the womb. Maybe even prior to this incarnation: Perhaps it is even the earth's own "fields of dreams" that is the bedrock formations, the archetypes, for our physical lifetime experiences?
If you prefer, "believing is seeing" and we "heal what we feel."
In summary, you must read this book, as I have done, to understand the meaning of self-empowerment now. I, in fact, learned: (1) What the answers to these three perennial questions will determine my fate; (2) Why the blueprint for survival is inside of me but awaiting activation by awareness; and (3) How I can consciously participate in the greatest shift in culture since Copernicus (1473-1543 A.D.) declared the Sun, not the Earth, was the center of our solar system by seeking my own optimal wellness. That is to say, I must accept that "I am" is the center of my cells, and by default, if for no other reason, the supreme master of my fate.
You and me: We be Godbots!

Our story has changed. Our older science (ie. Newton and Darwin) has been upgraded with a newer scientific understanding: quantum physics and epigenetics. We need to reprogram our subconscious beliefs, now knowing “the purely mental nature of the universe”. Spontaneous Evolution is a tour de force, discussing a broad range of ideas, from banking’s fractional reserve system to the intelligence of the heart. Lipton explains how science now knows that “we co- create reality with our beliefs, perceptions, thoughts, and feelings”. This is a new hope for our world, our species.
The author proposes : based on the Fractal Mathematics of nature, if 50 Trillion cells in our body can work with such wonderful harmony, why can’t humans replicate the same with the society.
He talks about what exactly stops us from achieving that and how every one of us can participate to achieve it.
Research material from quantum mechanics (The Field), Lamarck’s evolution theory of cooperation (against Darwinian theory of survival of the fittest), epigenetics (in short how beliefs affect biology), conscious/subconscious mind, fractals etc. are quoted.
Cover other topics like how “culture and parents influence minds” and how the economy should really be.
If nothing of the above impresses you, just treat it as a “well-being” book.
Collectively, we could evolve ourselves and our planet. Sounds cool to me.
“Biology of Belief’ from the same author is a good read too.
