They are a pretty tight fit, not a big toe box.
I have tested the waterproof, and they will hold on up to 20 mins in the water as long as it doesnt go past the ankle, after that they start getting damp.
The outsole started comming off after about 10 hikes and I had to glue it back.
I once used them to explore a hardcore mount in a sierra, with no trails and no paths and no anything, the only other good thing I can say about them is that they didn't make my feet hurt, the day after my 3 day hike my feet felt like nothing had happened while the rest of my body was destroyed.
However they are very slippery, bad grip on wet grass, on mud, wet rocks, basically if water is involved they are very slippery. But even on dry rocks they aren't amazing.
Also they are heavy, I do field work with snakes and lizards.I avoid using them most of the time unless I'm going into a place with lots of snakes and tall grass where I cannot see them, that way my ankle and feet have protection.
Lighweight and comfortable
They're very sturdy boots, I feel like i can walk through ANYTHING
They look great
The rubber on the front has started to come off of the leather. I have super glued it multiple times
the soles have worn down really quickly
the seam on the inside back started opening up (a cheap/easy fix)
