Like many other reviewers I am using these pucks for something other than their intended use. In my case, like others, I am using them as a buffer between my floor jack and our vehicle jacking points if they are on a pinch weld.
I put a slit in these that goes 1/3 to 1/2 down the thickness and is cut out wide enough so that there is some lateral support of the pinch weld as well. I've used two already a few times and they are holding up pretty well. One is cut to fit an 08 mustang and the other fits a '13 Vw turbo beetle.
