The TETON Sports Oasis 1200 is the perfect hydration pack for long day trips in the back country, mountain biking, or even snowshoeing. There’s no limit to the activities you can use this pack for. This is the largest of all the hydration packs offered by TETON Sports. It is fully adjustable at your shoulder, chest, and waist. Includes features normally seen on more expensive packs such as custom tapered ergonomic shoulder straps, and mesh internal organizer. A quick-stash pouch, and waist belt pocket offer easy access to essentials. If you wander into rain, the built-in rainfly will keep your pack and gear dry. This athletic cut pack is super comfortable with a thick air mesh back panel with half-inch (1.3cm) foam padding designed to cinch in tightly to minimize bounce. The shoulder straps are comfort-taped mesh with a notched foam stabilizer. Included with your purchase is a 3-liter hydration bladder with a wide-mouth opening for easy fill and cleaning—slider then quickly seals the bladder when slid across the length of the opening. You will want to wash the bladder before your first use—then let your bladder dry out completely before reassembling it. Once it is dry, be sure to tighten the hose at the base of the bladder—the O-ring gasket needs to sit down into the receiver so it can seal properly—this will prevent leaking. Also includes a lightweight, durable, kink-free sip tube and push-lock cushioned bite valve. TETON Hydration Backpacks, like all TETON Sports products, come with our Limited Lifetime Warranty.

But as for the bag itself there is quite a bit of room if you're using this as a day pack for hiking. Not quite enough for an overnight trip with all of the gear you would need. I have uploaded some pics so you can get a better idea as far as the size of the compartments. When I was debating on purchasing it I was really wanting to see some pics of the compartment sizes, so I have taken some. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
The backpack gets 10/10. The hydration bladder does not and gets a 1/10. The 1 is only because the bladder doesn't leak. While the bladder does not leak, you can't get hardly any water out of the bladder to the point where it is unusable. Even when the bladder is outside of the back pack the same problem exists. Also, there was a very nasty taste, not just plastic, coming from, from what I could get out of the bladder, water. The nasty taste was not a soapy taste so it's not from the mild soap I uses. I followed instructions and cleaned both the inside of the bladder and the tube with warm water and mild liquid soap prior to use. Liquid soap we've been using on a regular basis and have also used on other brands of bladders. Thoroughly rinsed everything. Let fully dry. Filled the bladder with water from our home filtered water pitcher. Tested the whole system on a 2 hour hike. After the hike and while at home I double checked the bladder water system. Water comes up the tube when you suck on the bite piece but pretty much stops there. I unscrewed the tube from the bladder. No blockages anywhere either from the bladder or the tube. A tiny, very tiny bit of water comes through the tube when you use the system but then it stops. You can get a bit more water out of the system if you blow really hard down the mouthpiece/tube back into the bladder. But then it stops again. The bladder doesn't leak. Great. But if you can't get any water out of it, it's useless. Don't understand why Teton doesn't do their own tests. It's immediately apparent what the problem is. Am looking for a replacement bladder.
Some features this pack has that are missing from the Osprey are side, mesh pockets for water bottles, hip belt pockets, whistle buckle, rain cover, and cooling padding. Some features that are missing are magnetic mouthpiece clip and water tube zipper.
The 100 oz bladder opens completely at the top allowing for easy cleaning and addition of ice. The slide across clip is a little tight and is more difficult to remove and put on than the Osprey or Camelbak reservoir seals. It's possible a little talcum powder would fix this. The water tube pushes through a narrow hole in the pack and is held in place with a fabric loop on the chest strap. This is more awkward than the Osprey which zippers the water tube into the chest strap.
You might think you don't need extra water bottles on a hydration pack, but it makes sense to have a bottle of Gatorade or Perpetuem in addition to pure water. The hip belt pockets are perfect for storing an energy bar or two. There's a lot of room in this pack. In the attached photograph my wife has a rain-proof poncho in the reservoir compartment, a light long-sleeved shirt in the zip-up compartment behind that, also bug spray, a first aid kit and food in the small zip-up, and her collapsed hiking poles in the expandable compartment in between. There's room for quite a bit more.
The pack has three padded areas facing your back that push the pack slightly away from your body allowing air to circulate. It's very comfortable. The chest strap actually has a bright orange whistle embedded in the buckle. There is a rain cover hidden at the base of the pack in a small velcro-closed compartment. It's a moment's work to pull the cover out and protect the entire pack. No other hydration pack I've ever owned has this feature. The bite valve is the older kind with a slit that opens when you bite down on it. It can be locked by pushing the valve towards the tube and opened by pulling it away. It took us a while to figure that out.
In short, this is an excellent day pack with plenty of room, many features, and it's very comfortable.

Besides the stuff I put in it, it protected my back a few times I fell skiing.
