'This set of four picture books are a lovely way to inspire creativity and imagination in your little one. Each book contains its own season packed full of detailed drawings … The most wonderful thing about these books is that the story is always different, there are always new things to discover and new stories to tell. If you are looking for some creative ways to introduce the Seasons to your kids or even just hoping to get some picture books, this set is a definite must.'

Also for a Seasons book we love I Am a Bunny. That and this series will not be given away when LO "outgrows" them because I never will!
We bought the Winter board book, and after it arrived I decided to order the Spring one for her to open as one of her Christmas presents.
This Spring board book is nice because it doesn't have any words. There are just a whole bunch of little pictures that are very detailed. So, for example, you can talk about planting seeds and feeding chicks, or if you really wanted to talk about details you could talk about how when you're painting you blot the brush on a paper to clean it out so that you can paint another color. The detail gives you so much to talk about.
I wasn't really sure how I would feel about a board book without words before I ordered the Winter one.
I've decided I like it a lot.
An added bonus is, without words and with so much detail, it will be easy for us to "read" this book in other languages. For example, we have a lady that comes to play with my daughter and talk to her in Chinese, and she will be able to "read" this book with my daughter, and it can inspire her to talk about different spring topics without feeling like she needs to understand some English text. Or, my daughter and I can "read" this in Spanish and my incomplete Spanish vocabulary will be all right, because I can just point out the things that I do know.
After we ordered the Winter one, I didn't really care for this artist's style; I thought the people were kind of ugly. However, I am happy to report that I like the Spring paintings much better.
If you're considering this book, I recommend it. The pictures of the Winter one are interesting to my daughter (shh, don't tell her she'll be receiving this spring one in a month!), so I think we'll be "reading" these season books for several years.
The pictures are very detailed and realistic. There's also a nice progression in each season depicted. For e.g, spring starts with a girl playing with a lamb in a meadow, and then on to planting flowers, arranging tulips, family time indoors and outdoors, Easter preparations, etc.
