The results of a pilot study published in the Nutrition Journal ([...]) suggest that children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) can benefit from daily supplementation of high levels of purified fish oils. The eight-week study demonstrated that children who consumed between 8 and 16 grams per day of EPA and DHA (the long chain omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil) showed significant improvements in their behavior rated by both their parents and the psychiatrist working with them.
Love the product, no burping or after taste. I use this brand because it does not contain soy, which most others have. A bit pricey. For some reason the local store is not carrying the product anymore so I had to resort to getting it online for ~$5 more than I used to get it in the store. Please do not get confused . . . this review was for the ALL NATURAL Enteric Coated Triple Strength Fish Oil. Not what is now pictured/sold. The product pictured does have soy in it and must be the replacement product. I have not been able to find the All Natural version since I bought this last.
well i needed some more Fish oil 1400 MG i normally pick it up at Walmart for around $14.00 bucks but sure enough they where out of it! So tryed another Walmart same thing out of! So went on line and ordered a bottle a dollar are two more! plus had two wait at least 7 days before it showed up at my door! So next time i will order sooner before i run out!
These softgels are huge! The label says "Natural Enteric - No Fishy Aftertaste". I wanted to get an Omega 3 supplement that did NOT have any fishy aftertaste and would be easy to swallow and would be potent enough to just take one a day.. The softgels are large, just drink lots of water to get them down! I chose these because they are one a day.The pharmacist at Walmart assured me that these had no aftertaste. What she really was doing was just reading the label, I don't think she really had a clue from any customer feedback...They DO have an aftertaste that reminds you of a dirty aquarium! I have a sensitive stomach, so thought maybe it was just me, but my husband who can eat anything with no problem complained about the fishy taste. Glad I didn't buy the twin pack of them
This is good stuff, more potent than the regular fish oil, which means you won't have to take it as often. Though there may be a fishy taste if you burp, it doesn't always happen, but it is the downfall to this product in my opinion. It may also be cheaper at your local department store pharmacy. I uploaded an image of the label, although the quality of my camera sucks, I hope it helps someone.
Purchased a bunch of fish oil from Spring Valley which has Ammonium Hydroxide (ammonia) and other fillers in it. Yuk! I can't believe this is legal - selling deadly poisons disquised as vitamins. I threw them away...
If you're looking to specifically obtain more EPA and DHA, this is the Fish Oil pill for you. Combined is 900mg per pill (EPA 647, DHA 253). If you're trying to get around 2000mg a day like I am, you will be thankful to find this. Most fish oil pills I found barely have any EPA and DHA.
I drop one star because these pills do cause some unpleasant belching. Also, if you feel the need to stick your face in the bottle and take a whiff...don't. Wow.
Finally, I recommend you buy this at Wal-mart or a local pharmacy. I've found twin packs (120 softgels total) for around $17.
