Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

It's hilarious, much like the prior books. I lack the ability to explain why it is funny, but I know it's funny. Buy it. Read it if you want - it's your money and your time - but buy it anyhow.
The story is basically about Frank wanting to become a spy, due to an add on a matchbook. Without giving away too much, as you might expect, Burly becomes the best spy who has ever lived, through sheer perseverance and more than a little spite.
I'd rate our no-pants spy around 3.5 give or take, but I rounded up to four because somehow I think Frank asked me to somewhere in the book. This gave me the impression it was the last one because Burly 'retired' (from spying) and he was unable to reverse an issue that occurred about 2/3 of the way through the story. Given that it felt John phoned this one in, perhaps that's not such a bad idea.

I bought this and will buy the next one, too, because no one else writes like him.
He's one of the greatest comic geniuses in history.
That being said, there's definitely been a decline in quality after the first five Frank Burly novels, so I was a little apprehensive before reading it.
To my pleasant surprise, the book started really well and kept improving.
The combination of our protagonist's stupidity and another character's bold cheating of him, well, that's my favorite kind of Swartzwelder.
Things went really well for the first third of the book, and I was giddy.
However, after our hero became (spoiler) a spy, things just stagnated.
Instead of sending him out on some far-fetched assignments, the plot was brought to him.
The best burly novels feature travel- across the country, to space, through time, in size.
In this one, 80 percent of the plot takes place in Central City, the rest in another US State.
Furthermore, a lot of what happens is quite repetitive, especially for readers who already know that Burly is indestructible and will take any amount of damages.
It became a chore to go through the last third of the book, despite the occasional chuckle.
I'd probably give this 3 and a half stars, but it's more 3 stars than 5, alas.
I hope we see more, better Burly novels in the future.
Until then, take care, John, and stay safe.
