Editorial Reviews

Review

  • "GMO foods, international politics, and quests for power: steeped in the flavor of modern times, To Russia for Love is international thriller reading at its best." D. Donovan, Midwest Book Review
  • "This intriguing story blends thrilling suspense, a web of espionage, and a struggle for power and ties them all together with a hint of romance to make it a riveting must read that will appeal to readers of many genres." -InD'Tale Magazine
  • "Kenneth Eade has written an excellent spy thriller. But To Russia With Love is more than just a well written story because Eade ventures bravely into the world of genetic seed modification without infringing on the story itself. And in doing so he is enlightening the reading public of the dangers of tampering with mother nature. Eade subtly and skillfully weaves his message into the story without it being a detriment to it. If you are looking for a spy thriller roller coaster ride then I recommend this excellent book." Author Joe Corso

From the Author

As John Grisham says, "I always try to tell a good story, one with a compelling plot that will keep the pages turning. That is my first and primary goal. Sometimes I can tackle an issue-homelessness, tobacco litigation, insurance fraud, the death penalty-and wrap a good story around it.  Like Grisham, my primary goal is to tell a good story, but all my stories are about real contemporary social issues.  If you like this book, then check out the other novel in the series;  An Involuntary Spy,  (Seth Rogan was a bad spy. That's because he wasn't a spy at all. Just a guy trying to do the right thing. As a biologist for the largest biotech company in the world, he had a great job, and enjoyed all the perks. But when asked to do some tests on the company's genetically engineered (GMO) foods, he uncovered secrets that entangled him in a web of corruption, fraud and conspiracy that he wanted no part of, but could not escape from. In a story of mystery and suspense so true to life it could almost be from today's newspapers, Seth, having bit the hand that fed him, is on the run from CIA, the FBI, and the full overreaching strength of the United States government, charged with espionage, and finds temporary refuge with an old enemy-Russia. But his peace is about to be broken as he finds himself in the role of an involuntary spy.) I like to reward my readers for loyalty. Described by critics as "one of our strongest thriller writers on the scene," author Kenneth Eade, best known for his legal and political thrillers, practiced International law, Intellectual Property law and E-Commerce law for 30 years before publishing his first novel, "An Involuntary Spy." Eade, an award-winning, best-selling Top 100 thriller author, has been described by his peers as "one of the up-and-coming legal thriller writers of this generation." He is the 2015 winner of Best Legal Thriller from Beverly Hills Book Awards and the 2016 winner of a bronze medal in the category of Fiction, Mystery and Murder from the Reader's Favorite International Book Awards. His latest novel, "Paladine," a quarter-finalist in Publisher's Weekly's 2016 BookLife Prize for Fiction and winner in the 2017 RONE Awards. Eade has authored three fiction series: The "Brent Marks Legal Thriller Series", the "Involuntary Spy Espionage Series" and the "Paladine Anti-Terrorism Series." He has written twenty novels which have been translated into French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.

"I've been writing all my life, but began publishing my work out of a passion for the environment. My wife, Valentina, is a professional photographer, who worked for two years on an environmental exhibition called, "Bee Cause I Care" which was exhibited in 2014 by the Prince Albert II Foundation to bring awareness to the importance of pollinators and the dangers facing them. I penned a few articles on the subject for the Los Angeles Daily Journal and turned my research into my first book, "Bless the Bees." That passion continued with the publication of my novel, "An Involuntary Spy," which is an action thriller that also points to the dangers of genetically engineered food. Then I began publishing the "Brent Marks Legal Thriller Series," which, in part, is based on actual experiences during my long career in law.

"I try to put as much realism in my novels as possible, and they all revolve around important social issues. I treasure all of my readers and love to hear from them, whether it's good or bad. Sometimes I make changes based on their suggestions and one reader has inspired a character that has appeared in my latest seven novels."
