Bad experience from the 1st step of software update
I bought this version after returning the cheaper rolling up version. The rolled up version too was buggy and thought this one as it’s more expensive and no manual moves involved will be better. Couldn’t even play after plugging in. As soon as connected to the app, app prompted for a software update. The board made loud grinding noise and then the message came on app with 2 buttons : Contact Us or Cancel. I clicked Contact Us and no screen came up. Even the app is buggy it seems. I will check how to contact them. It’s a pain to keep returning products and after paying bug bucks such companies don’t even have a quality assurance to check this kind of issues? Well pleased with the chess board
The board is well made and quite substantial its quite big so make sure you have the room for it .mine went through a software update straight away after email prompt. Has worked most of the time , it had a few strange moves on a couple of occasions but after resetting worked fine .(I have found if not level this can happen) I only used the AI chess challenges so far not tried other people to play with yet . I am still getting use to it .it's a replacement of an old moving chess set which was very noisy this one is much less. Overall very happy after using for 10 months .I have also found my old Milton bradley chessmen work on it too once the magnets are reversed. 😊mr roger rowdenWell pleased with the chess board
