First I have to tell you that I have always had excellent oral care habits: brush and mouthwash twice per day, floss once per day, dentist visit every 6 months. Unfortunately my whole family members suffer poor enamel. As a child I sustained several cavities requiring fillings. At the time, amalgam (silver) fillings were the only affordable option.
It's also worth mentioning that I have suffered in the past from cold sores / fever blisters, canker sores, dry mouth, excessive tongue plaque from Tongue-tie (ankyloglossia) and bad morning breath due to being a mouth breather.
The reason I have changed my oral care routine is that I have had several problems after two decades with this metal in my mouth and I needed to replace those with the new composite (white) fillings. Since replacing most of my metal fillings, I have experienced sensitivity to cold, hot, and pressure while eating and drinking. I have gone back to the dentist a few times to get my bite checked and have them do minor adjustments to the fillings, however it has not resolved my sensitivity completely.
Doing some research and being pretty holistic myself, I ran across several products that have worked for me in less than one week! I will share my my regimen and tell you that it's solved 90% of my problems.
I use this product, Squiggle Tooth Builder Toothpaste with my Oral-B electric toothbrush and floss every morning when I wake up and every night before I go to bed. I use this toothpaste exclusively. I also use a tongue brush and scraper to remove the tongue plaque with a little bit of toothpaste on it.
In the evenings I use the essential oil based mouthwash for sensitive teeth as I notice it doesn't dry my mouth out. I use the Colgate alcohol-free mouthwash in the morning because it leaves my mouth more fresh with strong mint flavor. I included the carmex lip balm in my photo because I notice it decreases the frequency of cold sores.
Since doing this regimen, I have nearly eliminated all sensitivity and noticed my teeth being more opaque (also appear more white without the use of fluoride or whitening toothpaste) with less plaque buildup on my tongue and teeth. I also noticed that my gums appear much healthier!
I am so glad that I found Squigle toothpaste and I'm looking forward to my next dental visit. 1 million stars from me!
I've always taken care of my teeth, but again, like another reviewer, my family history of enamel is not good. Now, here I am in my 40s contemplating getting dentures, not because my teeth are rotting, but quite honestly, because I can no longer enjoy ice cream...or breath in Indiana winter air through my mouth without horrible pain. I'm a huge fan of getting on Amazon after a couple cocktails and voila, I got lucky this time. PLEASE, I have to tell you, after three days, I can now breath in the air through my mouth and can enjoy swigging and nice bottle of cold Ice Mountain water. My teeth are also not so sensitive to pressure. I couldn't even eat pizza from the pressure pain. I'm not ready to chew some over frozen ice cream (cuz I did give it a try today...you know... only for the testimony and stuff...not because I wanted ice cream or anthing...), but this stuff is amazing. Getting read to brush now.
I am extremely sensitive to pretty much all of the "mints". Spearmint, peppermint, wintermint and even cinnamon will all cause my eyes to water up and my mouth (especially my tongue) to burn and sting.
I am also allergic to sodium lauryl sulfate which is in 95% of toothpastes. Its the ingredient that companies use to make things foam, everything from hand soap to shampoo to yes, tooth paste. Whenever I use a toothpaste with it in it, even just once, I get horrible canker sores.
I've looked high and low for an all natural toothpaste that works, isn't full of salt and is flavorless. Tooth Builder is the answer.
Throughout my childhood I always had lots of cavities. I dreaded going to the dentist. After I lost my dental insurance at age 21, I went several years without seeing a dentist, and also had poor oral hygiene in that time period. I decided to get back into it recently and started using this toothpaste daily about six months ago. When I went to the dentist, the only problems I had had in eight years without going to the dentist were two small cavities.
Now I can't say for sure that this helped, but I'm willing to bet it didn't hurt. Also, it is great for sensitive teeth. Mine aren't super sensitive, but they are at times and this is great. The only issue I have is the taste is a bit yucky, but obviously if you do it right, you don't taste much of it anyway.
All in all, I think it's a great toothpaste and it will be my regular from now on.

Has reduced my ulcers significantly.
Have been using it for some years now from the same supplier and would thoroughly recommend them.
As an added bonus with this particular variety - none of the dreaded fluoride.
Bit pricey, but then it does have to cross the Atlantic.
It isn't a miracle cure, but is helping my teeth from decaying further after damage by bruxism and some decay
