My three-year-old daughter loves showing me the yoga she learns at school and I enjoy doing basic yoga myself, so I was looking for something we could enjoy together. This is essentially what I was hoping to find, but the pace is just way too frantic. We're constantly jumping up and down between standing, sitting, and laying positions and have no time to enjoy the position itself. There was no relaxing or pleasant stretching, just constant up and down and twist and move and we could hardly get ourselves into position before we were two positions behind. My daughter really enjoyed the story aspect and asks to watch the episodes, but she only attempts one out of every three or four positions since she can't keep up. If this could be slowed to about half speed, it would be perfect.
My 3.5 year old daughter loves these videos. She asks me every evening if we can do yoga. I love it too because I can make dinner while she's occupied. The stories keep her attention, and I think the stretching and focus help her with bedtime.
My children are 5, 4, and 2. This show does yoga to popular stories like the Hungry Caterpillar, Harry Potter, Frozen, Trolls and so much more. (Episodes that are not available here are available on YouTube) during the show your children will act out the stories through yoga moves and small sounds. It's a great way to introduce young children to light yoga and a great way to incorporate exercise into their day. It also offers verity and keeps them interested as they do a new story every day.
We do this right before lunch. I have my children get out yoga mats (mine) or blankets and they pick out an episode or two. They do 30min a day and love it! Going on a Bear Hunt is their favorite so far.
My loud, wild, rambunctious young boys (6 and 4 year old do it, 2 year old watches) love this! They actually did the whole video without talking - much less fighting! I got to drink my morning coffee while it was HOT, in peace, and watching those boys actually do something together that is GOOD for them! Thank you, Jamie Amor for giving my kids attention and structured playtime!! We're fans.
This is such a great thing! My 5 year old son struggles in many areas and this has brought a calm to his storm. So thankful for Jaime Amor and Cosmic Kids Yoga Adventures. Easy to follow and so much fun it keeps their attention too.
