SQUOOSHI REUSABLE FOOD POUCHES
As a family-run company committed to sustainability, we are continually researching new processes and options for ecologically sound, food safe packaging. Squooshi resealable food pouches use less fuel in shipping than do pre-packaged food-filled pouches, and they are reusable, so they save energy and reduce waste, air pollution, and global warming. We hope you will fill them with organic goodness whenever possible to reduce pesticide exposure and support organic farming. Squooshi pouches are a good step, in a better direction and we thank you for joining us in our quest for good, clean, healthy, and fun living on this planet we all share.
As eco-minded parents and grandparents, we made sure Squooshi reusable food pouches are made with the greatest of care. My dad and I researched every possible food safe container, and feel good about the product we've created for you.
Squooshi reusable food pouches are BPA-free, PVC-free, Lead-free, Phthalate-free, puncture resistant plastic, to provide convenience and durability without unnecessary chemicals. The manufacturer we work with is ISO 9001 certified and BRC rated, meaning the company meets international standards for quality and safety protocols as pertains to ingredients, allergens, hygiene, humane trade practices, and foreign ingredient exposures.
THE SQUOOSHI STORY
Squooshi was started by a father-daughter team, Shannon Wren and Noel Wren, who were inspired to create a well-designed reusable food pouch that would be helpful to parents, fun for kids of all ages, and better for our environment!
“When my son was eating baby food, he loved eating out of pouches,” explains Shannon, “And I loved the playfulness and on-the-go convenience, but I was unhappy giving him packaged food when I was preparing fresh, nutrient dense, homemade food at home daily. I also felt terrible about the waste and the expense of store bought pouches.”
As a noted designer and longtime foodie, Shannon began to brainstorm, and soon, she and her dad Noel, who has a background in manufacturing, were on a mission to create the best reusable food pouch on the market.
After two and a half years of research, development, testing (and more testing!) Squooshi launched in October of 2012. The company is a labor of love, and “We are very proud to see families enjoying the results,” shares Shannon. “Squooshi pouches provide a solution for today’s busy families and we are inspired everyday by our grateful customers.”

WHAT'S A SQUOOSHI?
Squooshi is the designer and manufacturer of a patented reusable food pouch. They are adorable and refillable squeeze pouches that give you the freedom to give your babies and kids healthy food in a fun container they'll love to use. With a sturdy zip-lock style seal located on the bottom of the pouch and a choke-proof cap, Squooshi reusable food pouches can be filled with whatever pureed wholesome goodness you and your little ones desire for a healthy, on-the go snack or meal.
HOW TO ENJOY SQUOOSHI POUCHES
HOW DO I FILL MY SQUOOSHI?
Through an extra sturdy zipper located on the bottom of the pouch. Simply turn the pouch over, pull apart the zipper, make sure your cap is on and pour or spoon in your favorite pureed food. Some people like to use a funnel but we think its super easy to just use a spoon once you get the hang of it. For optimal use, Squooshi pouches should be filled about ¾ full depending on the content.
HOW DO I CLEAN MY SQUOOSHI?
Our pouches were designed specifically for ease of cleaning. Every section of the interior of our pouch is easily rinsed with a direct stream of water. Just pop them in the top rack of your dishwasher or wash them by hand with warm soapy water. Here you can see how easily Squooshi pouches clean up.
WHERE CAN SQUOOSHI POUCHES GO?
Squooshis are easy to fill and take with you wherever you go. School. The park. Sporting events. Bike rides. Car rides. In the stroller. Soccer practice. You name it!
For homemade baby food, Squooshi reusable squeeze pouches mean no more frozen cubes or fussing around with freezer trays, no extra bowls and spoons, and no breakable jars or double-dipping. They can go straight from filling, to the freezer, to your bag, to your child's hand (and mouth) with no fuss (and less mess!).
Don't tell your kiddos, but you'll probably end up using Squooshi refillable food pouches too - they're great for the gym, bike rides, camping and travel.

1--wide opening design coupled with zipper opening wide, so you can easily and quickly fill with a measuring cup (no spooning stuff in slowly like with narrower openings on other brands, and no specialty products to have to buy to fill).
2--pouch material is very flexible, yet extremely durable. the flexibility means that the zipper does not separate from the pouch. Just genius choice of materials. well done, squooshi.
3--uses standard caps (that you can find on major, name brand disposable pouch foods) in case your kid drops/loses a cap. You’re not throwing away a reusable product just because you lost a part. Go to the grocery store, and buy a disposable pouch, and reuse that cap. genius.
4--this is not unique to this pouch, but great for all self-fill pouches - I have gotten my kid to eat all sorts of new and crazy things, and has developed a taste for so many unique adult foods by blending a wide variety of things and putting them in pouches. So far, the only loser in this game has been figs and zucchini (but not together, of course. that’s nasty. part of this is I just can’t get zucchini to freeze well - blended zucchini separates out when frozen. But i digress....)
1--not microwavable. I’m not a fan of microwaving any type of plastic or polymer with food inside, so this is not a biggie for me. I microwave a bowl of water, and drop the pouch directly from the freezer in the hot water for a minute or less.
2--this is not a con, but I can’t speak to its durability in the dishwasher. I rinse mine out directly after use, and then wash a big batch of them by hand all at once. I know that they are advertised for dishwasher use, but I hand washed all of mine, and the Squooshi ones are still going strong after 2 years with no signs of stopping.
If you have any questions about the pouches or anything else, just ask in the comments and I'll do my best to respond promptly.
