Outstanding book. I read the reviews prior to the purchase and they were right on. If you are heading to the US Virgin Islands and plan to spend some time on St John it will be very helpful. There are so many choices on that island and I think this book is helpful in making some decisions about how to spend your time.

It will be useful for people who like to read up before visiting places but if you are not one of those 'prepared' types the don;t worry, St. Johns will still be a great place :-) we found couple of beaches off the beaten track and had a nice time.
Book arrived in reasonable time and in good condition.

I could not get past the lack of photographs which would have depicted what the author was discussing. The book is filled with drawings, some look like the refrigerator art we all collect when our children are in elementary school. It was like reading an article discussing colors and all the pictures were in black and white. The book discusses plants and there is no photograph of the plant. There is one section in the middle with approximately 6 to 8 photographs. I wanted to see photographs of the stinging wasps and the poisonous plants. I didn't find them.
