This is a great set too to replace my most often used colors. I wish Stabilo would make a "dark set" with the blues, greens, reds, and shades of black only--I would buy that ten fold! I have a lot of the yellow and other lighter color ones sitting in a desk drawer.
In comparison to the Le Pen pens, these Stabilo 88's are a wonderful, inexpensive alternative. I use these with 24lb printer paper in my planner, and have no problems with bleeding or shadow except on the very dark colors, and even that is minimal in comparison to the Le Pen pens. While the colors are a little less vibrant than the "Brights" Le Pens, the Stablio 88's are much smoother when writing, have less show-through, produce a thinner line, and are less expensive to boot. The Stabilos lack clips and feel more "plasticky" than either the Microns or Le Pens, but that's a small price to pay for the diversity of colors and price point.
