From the Manufacturer
Stack-On's FS-14-MG-C 14-Gun Safe with Combination Lock is tested and listed as a California Department of Justice firearms safety device that meets the requirements of California Penal Code Section 12088 and the regulations issued thereunder. This Stack-On safe is tested and verified to be fire resistant for 30 minutes up to 1400˚ F by ETL–an independent testing lab. The door stripping expands when exposed to high temperatures, sealing the safe’s contents from harm during a fire. This unit also has reinforced steel doors that are filled with fire retardant material, creating a protective fire wall. There are 2-way locking–1” steel live action locking bolts and up to 5 locking points. The interior is fully carpeted with numerous storage options. Stack-On’s patented barrel rest standoffs keep scoped rifles away from the back of the safe and allow for one position storage. The patented molded barrel rests, which are included with all Stack-On gun safes, won’t deteriorate or compress over time. The contour of the barrel rest will accommodate rifles as well as side-by-side shotguns.

Update: 8/11/2014: The combination lock on the safe is still working great. This is not a high dollar safe; but if it's bolted down, and you don't keep your power tools in plain sight, it should stop the smash-and-grab thief, who constitutes the majority of burglary.
Update: 12/23/2015: The combination lock on the safe is still working great.
Update 08/19/2016: To take advantage of the fire-resistant features of the safe, I found that the Master Lock Steel Security File Box would fit inside my Stack-On 14-Gun Safe. The picture shows two of the planned three such file boxes on the right side of my safe.
Update: 04/19/2017: On bolting down the safe. There are 5 holes along the backside of the safe that can only be observed from the exterior. And there are two holes in the floor of the safe that can only be seen from the exterior - in my case, tilting the empty safe partially against the wall. I drilled out the two holes in the bottom of the safe and did the same with one in the back - the holes in the metal safe wall and floor are already there, so drilling is easy through the drywall/fire proofing materials. I then used 4 inch 3/8 inch lag bolts. one lag bolt to the stud in the wall where I keep the safe. And used the same size bolts to lag it to my wooden floor - I have a basement, so I was able to make sure I wasn't drilling into anything electrical/plumbing/etc. before I proceeded - it lagged into the joists, from best I could tell. Anyway, I hope this additional information helps someone - do not depend on the safe's weight to deter it from being carried off.
This is a good safe and a good value overall. I haven't had a fire as yet so I can't speak to it's fire resistance capability.
Like anything it has it's good points and bad points. Read below to discern my thoughts about this product.
1. This is a two section safe- Long guns on one side and shelves for the other side to store ammo, accessories etc. Of course you may use both sides to store long guns if you choose.
2. There is a permanent shelf installed along the top portion of the safe for storing some things. What you store there will depend on the size of the item/s. This shelf is very useful.
3. This safe comes with several movable/removable shelves that can be conveniently set to your desired level for storing ammunition, accessories, etc. on one side of the safe. These are very handy. If you purchase pistol hangers that are designed to hang your pistols below a shelf as I do, the shelves then serve double duty for storing your ammo, accessories and pistols.
THE NOT SO GOOD-
This safe is not bad except that whenever these companies say that they will hold X number (10, 14, 20, etc.) of guns don't believe them. The 14 gun rating I suppose is gained if you store long guns on both sides of this safe. I do not. I use the additional shelves that came with the safe to store ammunition and accessories on one side of the safe while storing long guns on the other side of the safe.
I am only able to keep 4 long guns on the one side of the safe that I use for long guns. Unlike the old days many long guns don't use regular old straight stocks anymore. Now a days, many long guns have collapsible stocks, pistol grip stocks, bi-pods, scopes, laser sights, flash lights, etc. installed on them; all of which take up space. Consequently due to these factors there is only room for 4 of my long guns in the one side of this safe. If I used both sides for long guns i likely would be able to fit 8 to 10 long guns rather than just 4 but, it still wouldn't be 14 due to all the accessories that I have on my long guns.
Of course if you only have long guns with plain straight stocks and no scopes, pistol grips, laser sights, flash lights, etc. installed on them then you may be able to squeeze more guns into this safe than I can.
The price on this safe is comparable to other products, but for me the fire resistance is critical.
I also need shelves, and this is one of the few small safes that has them.
The safe was easy to secure to the floor and the combo lock works easily.
My only gripe is the shelves are not deep enough.
They could be 4" deeper and really maximize the available space.
I plan to fix this will some longer boards and felt.
Should be a simple change, and give me a lot more storage capacity.
