Product Description

Great security for pistols, ammo and valuables at home, on the road or in the office. Solid steel, pry resistant, plate steel doors, steel live action locking bolts and concealed hinges provide greater security. The electronic lock includes a dashboard faceplate that makes it easy to view the status of your safe. The key pad will "beep" when a button is touched- letting you know you have pressed a key. The "beeps" can be turned off or on with the press of the megaphone button. There is a time out period after 3 incorrect combination attempts. Your safe includes a backup key should your batteries lose power or if you forget your combination. Combinations can be changed easily by pressing a button located on the back of the door and entering a new combination. There are pre-drilled holes for mounting the safe to the floor/shelf and wall. Fastening hardware is included. Safes should be mounted to a solid surface to ensure the security of their contents. These safes are California-approved Firearm Safety Devices that meet the requirements of Penal Code section 23655 and the regulations issued thereunder.

I agree with the comment (sorry forgot who) I read when I chose my safe. But he mentioned that this series, PDS 1500, is being mixed up with another safe- that can be opened with a paper clip. This safe is different!
The PDS-1500 WOW! I almost gave up looking for safes, because of all the horrible reviews. Then this popped up. I LOVE it! You can chose a 3-6 digit code or use the key. It beeps loud, so you will know if someone is messing with it. You even have the option to turn off the sound. It's a great size. I still have a ton of room. It's heavy (but not to heavy to lift) just a good heavy and quality weight. It's easy to lift the cover up, because of the handle attached. I am so so so happy I purchased this safe. Even more happy that I read the review pointing out that the safe everyone was reviewing was a different model number. It has a nice lined inside. And the door is lowered and not flesh to the box, which would make it harder to break into.

This is a nice small safe to keep cash and jewelry inside. It's a bit pricey, but the build quality is solid and the electronic lock works great. You will know how durable it is as soon you hold it; it is heavy and the steel is thick. Keep in mind this is a drawer safe, so it opens from the top, and there isn't that much space inside. I still recommend buying this even though it's on the pricey end.

☑ BUILD QUALITY: Solid steel and heavy safe. You need to store it properly or bolt it down if you don't want someone to just grab it and take it.
☑ ELECTRONIC LOCK: One of the cheaper safes on Amazon with an electronic lock. The electronic lock has worked great for me so far without issues. It's easy to set/reset, and it has a timeout system so people can't keep trying to get in over and over. There is also a backup key.
☑ BATTERIES INCLUDED: Safe is ready to be used with the electronic lock as soon as you get it. The batteries needed are in the box.

What's bad about this product?
⚠ PRICE: I think the price is too high. It has even gone up in price since I bought it.
