I find this to be perfect for my needs... I ordered the first one, and liked it so much I ordered a second one. After filling that one, I ordered a third one... This is a nice product! I know have a portable drill cabinet, saws and miter cabinet, electric and plumbing combo cabinet, and Im pretty sure I will be ordering another one for all my misc. gadgets and tools. I love the fact that each unit has the capacity to provide separate drawers for the different items. Eg; The Bottom drawer is perfect for my bulky tools, Skill saws and such. The next drawer up is great for the chargers and batteries. The drawer above that is great for all the different size blades. The top drawer, is great for all my other tools and needs related to saws. Yep, I feel a fourth one on the way... How do you say, Im feeling Organized...

I bought this toolbox with the intent of holding household tools. With the added weight, the cabinet drawers are difficult to open and close, and bin door have warped because of the weight of a small number of tools.

If I had kept the large box it came with, I would return to sender. But due to the difficulty on getting the darn thing of the box, the box had to be cut open from top to bottom. The packaging was not customer friendly.

This is a cheap knockoff of a Stanley rolling toolbox that I had been using for the last 11 years. My old toolbox finally wore out and this was the closest replacement that I could find without paying over $250.00, plus another $90.00 for shipping from overseas.
I bought my original for $79.00 at Home Depot. The price of this one, with the rising cost of everything over time, is probably quite comparable to what I paid for the old one.

But, as I will explain, this is not the same as the old one. I think that Home Depot may have been offering a great price on the Stanley toolbox which I bought way back then.

However, because it is a knockoff, that does NOT mean that it is a piece of junk, though.
It is made out of steel and plastic, just like my original and it rolls around on 6 inch wheels, which are actually pretty good in comparison to my old toolbox. The axle is a little flimsy, though, so if you load it down heavily, it won't roll as smoothly.

The lid of the top tool box segment is not heavy or rigid like my old Stanley. The integral bracing of the lid molding was not designed as well nor is it as strongly as the old Stanley.

It flexes if you place a some moderate weight (25 pounds/11kg) on top of it, but it still works well as a workbench for boards and other lighter items that need some support.
The bungee cord mounting clips are very flimsy and I have broken most of them. I was able to use the 11 year old bungees from my original toolbox and the clips fit right into the holes on the sides. It is a faithful knockoff except for some of the hardware.

The telescoping handle is fairly solid, though, and it retracts down below the top of the lid so that you can place wider items on top and they will sit flat and square on top of the box. That has always been a nice feature of this design which I use all of the time.

The drawer slides are not on ball bearings. Neither were the slides on my original, but they work OK.

The lid latches are a question mark that I am keeping an eye upon. Those latches are important because this toolbox splits into a top half and a bottom half for carrying separately and the latches support the weight of the top half. If one of them lets loose when I am picking up that toolbox segment, it will empty that part of the box onto the floor. They are working ok for now, but they flex a bit and I worry about the strength of the loop of steel rod that clamps down on the hook when the latch lever is closed.

Other than some cheap hardware and a weak, somewhat poorly structured lid, this is still a decent toolbox for a homeowner/crafter/hobbyist.

I work on medical equipment in hospitals, so the environment where I use this toolbox isn't that challenging, even though I have to get it in and out of my truck every day and drag it along with me.

If you work construction, this is probably NOT the toolbox for you, but it isn't a necessarily a piece of junk.
With that said, I still miss my old toolbox, but am getting by with this one.

(Update - 2 years later) : I still miss my old toolbox.
After a few years of everyday use, this unit is slowly falling apart.
The rails have worn and broken so that the drawers can be pulled completely out of the toolbox (and emptied onto the floor if you aren't careful). If you are careful, they still work just fine.

I was concerned about the lid latches but they are doing well and haven't failed me.

The top cover is starting to crack due the my using the handle to lift top section in and out of my work vehicle each day. I lift the bottom section of the toolbox separately. I am not lifting the bottom section by the handle though, because that broke off about a year ago.
The bottom bin, which is loaded to the brim, is starting to separate at the seams.

**Let me be clear. I am using this toolbox every day, dragging it through 100 different hospitals to work on medical equipment. It has crossed miles of parking lots, gone through snow and rain (and some mud). It has been jostled, banged and loaded to capacity (and beyond) on a constant basis.

I have been asking far more from this toolbox than it was built to do.

And it is still limping along after two years. It has not collapsed into a heap. and that is saying something.

If you are just using this to storing tools in your garage or office, or even craft supplies that you occasionally take to classes or craft nights with friends, this is actually a pretty good option for you.

If you work construction or are a technician that hauls a lot of parts and tools every day, it would be better to spend a few hundred dollars more and get some commercial grade tool storage.

My wife got me this as a gift. I then went and got a few tools to get me started. I love the detachable chest. I would rather have the telescoping handle go a bit higher and the middle drawer is a bit fussy. Having said that, it's a nice addition to my garage.

compact, doesn't take up much room, flexible, being able to separate the top middle and bottom is awesome because i don't have to bring the whole box up and downstairs when i'm working and i fit the whole thing in my trunk in separate pieces, this tool box is a must for the handyman on the go, i highly recommend you get this even if your just a handyman in your own home

That is for my husband he loves it he says it works very well and has a lot of space easy to handle and he loves that he can pull it and take it with him places because of the handle

Flimsy and shoddy construction. Slide out drawers jam. Lugging handle too short - I'm only 5'9" and I had to slouch to use the dolly handle! Smaller than indicated - the max height is the height of the handle in the down position and max depth is to the back of the wheels. The actual size of the containers is significantly smaller.

I purchased this tool box for my foot care business in November 2018. I have been using it every day and it is the best tool box that I have had thus far.

I can use the top box or not and the pull out drawers make it easy for me to get anything I need before, after, or during treating my clients.

The elastic cords on the sides hold my boxes of gloves and other supplies for easy usage.

The big wheels make it easy to go through deep snow easily.

In the bottom section I am able to carry all my chemicals needed and a small to medium sized container with a lid for my dirty tools.

I opened the box that this toolbox was in, and I immediately put it back in the box for return. It would not last a week with my tools in there. It is very flimsy, the handle seems like it would fail quickly, the drawers were very hard to open and close, and overall it just seemed like a very cheaply made toolbox. I would maybe spend $80 on a toolbox like this and be satisfied with that purchase, not $300.
