I had been kicking myself for about 2 years, because I purchased an electronic keyboard with intentions of our son taking lessons in the future (he was only 2-years-old when we bought the keyboard).

I bought this stand hoping that 1. It would be sturdy enough to hold a full, 88-key, Casio Previa 100 easily and 2. Would be able to hold up to a 5-year-old, who has the tendency to kind of lean on tables and put his weight down on everything.

As soon as I opened the box, I was pleased. The stand "looked" sturdy and well made, but proved to require no assembly, just unfold, adjust the width and voila!

My one concern came to a screeching halt as soon as I put the keyboard stand in place. My one reservation was that if the angle of the legs were 45 degrees, that it might topple over easily. Keep in mind, I've got a 5-year-old running about and things get banged into. He is my live-in durability tester. However, all of my fears were put to rest in a matter of moments. I put the keyboard on the stand and noticed that the legs jet out at the sides just a bit, so there's no concern of the stand being knocked over to the side.

I do have to say that my stand is always stationary and is against a wall. I cannot really say how it would fair in another environment, but for our specific uses, it's absolutely perfect.

Love the design of this it's solid, and open so that the knees don't hit anything. But it is a little tall though. It measures 26 inches at the lowest setting, but add the dimensions of the Yamaha and the keys are at 29 inches which feels a little high for the bench even at its highest adjustment.

I have a simple keyboard where I occasionally try to learn the piano. The previous stand was one of those with the scissor legs. It was wobbly and hard to get my legs under it. This item was surprisingly heavy when the box arrived. The design is perfect for sliding a chair up to it and it is very stable when you bump it. I am very happy with it.

It's really flexible on how you're planning to put on top of it. The only small con is the top surface, you might wanna get a cheap Ikea board for it so you can throw anything. I put my guitar amp head (around 40lbs I think), and two monitor speakers without a problem. Love it!

This is a very versatile unit that can be a portable base for many different applications. However, it is most ill-suited to its advertised function, namely, that of a keyboard stand. I bought the stand to use with a Yamaha Motif XF8, which is a heavy (appx 70 lbs) full sized 88 key workstation. I thought that the four legs and table platform would do the job for supporting such a keyboard. Not so. The legs are thin and appear fragile. They splay outwards, and during the short period of time that I allowed the XF to remain on top, I noticed the legs to slide, or at least shift position, on the hardwood floor. On top of that, whenever I played the Motif, I could feel the stand moving under the weight of the unit, and the additional pressure fluctuations of my playing. Like a frightened schoolboy with shaking knees, this one just couldn't take it. Maybe this stand can really hold its advertised weight, but I certainly wasn't going to wait and find out that it could not. Maybe a very light keyboard will be stable on top of this, or maybe a sewing machine or an ironing board, but not a large keyboard. I sent this one back.

I got this stand because I liked the idea of having something portable with nice leg room. However, it wasn't as stable as I hoped. I'm using it with an 88-key Yamaha P-120 keyboard, and I had to extend the length of the stand all the way in order to rest the keyboard on its rubber feet (without putting just the flat bottom of the keyboard on the stand). For some reason, they put large holes on the table top, and these made it more difficult for me to rest the keyboard on its rubber feet. I had to position it just right. At full length, the middle of the stand sags a bit kind of like a curtain rod at full length without any center support. As I played the keyboard, it was "stable" but not $50 stable. It wasn't very difficult for me to wobble it side to side. For me, it felt kind of rickety. The overall construction just doesn't give me full confidence that my expensive keyboard is resting on something reliable. It does the job, but I would feel better if I paid half the price.

This stand is probably more appropriate for smaller keyboards or sound boards. I do not recommend it for full-size keyboards that are moderately heavy.

This is the perfect stand for the keyboard that hubby ordered for me. It came with a scissor-leg stand, which proved to be unstable and tippy. He ordered this stand to replace it and we are both pleased with it's stability and ease in getting close to the keyboard.

Good product for the price and very useful. I like the fact that it is sturdy and can be folded to minimise space.
