As a little girl, I drank fresh cool water from my grandparent's artesian well. They used a dipper to drink from the water drawn in a wooden bucket. These memories were sparked when I saw Paula Dean use a dipper to dip her homemade soup/dumplings on one of her videos. I do a lot of canning when veggies are in season and I ordered a set of three dippers from Amazon. They are perfect for many occasions, but the memory of drinking from one as a child made me even more excited when they arrived. Try something just because it brings back something sweet from your childhood. They are worth many thought of those memories.

Plastic hooks on top of ladle

Decent dippers, but I had to knock a couple of stars off because the hooks at the top of the ladle are plastic, not steel. The plastic is cheap looking and it will likely melt.
