Cool cookies, cakes and more with the Hamilton Housewares 12" x 17" Cooling Rack.
This rack also makes a great insert into a baking pan. Cook anything you want, put it in the dishwasher, and repeat.
The stainless steel construction makes for easy cleaning and no rust, even after dozens of uses.
Most cooling racks use chrome-plated iron or steel to give the appearance of quality, but in the long-run, these coatings will wear off, and you'll
be left with an inferior product. Without these coatings, the rack becomes vulnerable to rust and corrosion, and the coatings can end up in your food!
Don't compromise on quality. Choose the Hamilton Housewares 12" X 17" Cooling Rack, and enjoy the same quality use after use.
Why Other Racks Cannot Compare- 100 Percent Stainless Steel Construction

Absolutely perfect fit in my Nordic Ware Natural Aluminum Commercial Baker's Half Sheet as pictured
Love it, highly recommended
UPDATE 11/23/17: These racks have held up well - absolutely no rust, so I know they are a good quality stainless. They wash easily, especially if soaked just a couple minutes or using a small brush to get in between the crossbars. After over a year, they look brand new. I use them for roasting vegetables, cooking bacon in the oven and cooling baked good. Still recommend and give a strong 5 stars!
ORIGINAL REVIEW: These stainless steel racks are such an improvement over my old ones. I don't know what my old ones are made of but they could not soak in water without rusting or peeling - GROSS for something so close to your food. With these stainless racks, I can soak them for a long enough time, as needed. I actually find these very easy to clean, even after cooking (and occasional burning) meats, bacon, etc. A little sudsy water and a brush (even an old toothbrush) gets in all the crevices. It's easy and mine still looks new. I have not experienced any rust.
I use these to oven-roast vegetables, cook bacon in the oven, for cooling racks and more. When roasting or cooking bacon, I just place the rack in my baking sheet and because it sits above the surface and all the grease drips down below, it leaves the bacon crisp. Just be careful, you don't tip a shallow baking pan, with hot grease in it. I usually remove the bacon and let the rack cool in the oven before lifting it.

Cleanup is painless if you soak it in hot soapy water first. Then using a scrubby sponge or stiff brush, clean the rack on both sides. Look to see which way the wires run and rub the scrubby/brush in the same direction, flip it over and clean the other side in the opposite direction. I use the same brush that I use on my cast iron grlll pan.
I never put my metal cookware in the dishwasher, they stay looking like new and last much longer.
I certainly bought this to cool baked goods, but I also had meat in mind. I haven't tried this rack for it yet, but one of the reasons I bought it was to "bake" a thin disk of Italian sausage for use as a topping on a "Lou Malnati's" style deep dish (Chicago) pizza. Based on prior experience with lesser racks I am certain this will get the result I want.
Well, my first use was also for meat. I am currently (4/16) using it to dry age a beef strip loin in a spare refrigerator. It is holding up nicely to a 12.5lb (and shrinking) "primal cut". The rack provides ample air flow through the grid and the stainless surface is antimicrobial. Didn't have this in mind as a potential use when I first bought it, but it is working great.
The rack seems sort of pricey for what it is - until you realize it will last a long, long time and be useful for a variety of things. I see a second one of these in my not too distant future.
