I bought this to replace a black one that rusted out... another brand. This one is attractive, I don't notice any odors and it holds a good amount. I always line the canister with a produce bag for easier cleanup inside, outside it does show smudges so it needs frequent wiping down. The smudges are easily removed.

I ordered this stainless steel bucket and am most pleased by the amount of refuse it will hold. The lid fits beautifully and the charcoal filter in the lid keeps all smells under control. It washes sparkling clean with hot soap and water and looks great sitting in the kitchen. Wish I had found this container years ago.

Filters do not work if you put onions or anything with a strong scent in the bin. I created a filter using fabric and activated charcoal, I keep it in place with the provided filters. Works like a charm. No issues with holes. The quality of the bin is superb. Cleans like a dream. The only issue is the filters.

I love this little compost bucket. I bought compostable liners and some extra filters for the top of it. Previously I was storing my scraps in the freezer to keep the smell at bay, but needed that extra freezer space. This just sits on my counter and absolutely no smell comes from it. The compostable bags have started to deteriorate (which is a good thing) and when I've gotten goo in the bottom of the bucket, it was super easy to clean with soap and water.

This stainless steel bin has enough capacity that I'm not emptying it every minute. The lid has a space for replaceable charcoal filters. Since I am composting in NYC, I have been using this with compostable bags that fit perfectly into the bin. When the bags are full, they fit easily into the public compost bins located on the city streets.
